Tonya Evinger closed as a -900 favorite and got tapped in the 1st round last night. Not without controversy though as the ref wouldn't allow her to step on her opponents face to attempt to get out of the armbar, which is perfectly legal.

Rashad pulled from 206 now, UFC looking for a replacement and Kelvin Gastelum is a possibility.

Also BJ Penn vs Yair Rodriguez will headline the January 15th FS1 show in Phoenix, Jussier Formiga vs Sergio Pettis is also on the card.

Yea him and Scott Coker I assume have a relationship from the Strikeforce days, but Bellator tends to shell out for guys who are proven draws. Phil Davis wasn't even given an offer by the UFC, but i think it will play out like the Sterling, Melendez, Overeem situations where the UFC matches what Bellator offers.

UFC can't let Bellator take 2 top 10 WW's off their roster in a 3 month span. UFC has taken Bellator's LW champ (w/o a fight from Bellator, they wanted Chandler as champ obviously) and its been basically confirmed that Vitaly Minakov will be a UFC HW by early 2017. But they shouldn't be letting Bellator take the talented up and comers, its one thing to drop Rory whos Title aspirations were gonna be put on hold. But Larkin is probably only a win or two away from a title shot.

Weird to say this but i think the UFC might need Bader more at this point then Larkin, just because LHW is running very low on contenders and WW is backed up. DC beats Rumble again and Bader is probably the only guy who makes sense.

edit: Hmm maybe WME threw some money at Bisping knowing they legit have nobody else to headline that PPV.

Bisping could probably overwhelm Yoel with volume for a couple of rounds before Yoel goes berserk and pulls a brutal KO out of nowhere. The thing is, if Yoel can't muster that 3rd round magic as usual, his cardio will be f----- in a 5 rounder. Jacare, Weidman, and Rockhold III are all far less winnable fights for Bisping imo.

He wasn't exactly on top of his game when he left the UFC. His contract probably included a signing bonus and significant pay spikes if he gets a belt.

d--- and i was bummed about Aljamain Sterling and Tatiana Suarez pulling out of the Albany show (that card might be worse then this Saturdays) these past few days.

Anyways its a good thing they added those extra fights to 206 late (Cerrone/Brown, Pettis/Holloway and Kennedy vs whoever), because this card would have been canceled if they went ahead with Swanson/Choi as Co Main (despite it being an awesome fight).

Don't think there is anyone at LHW or HW who would be interested in stepping in on 2 weeks notice to fight Rumble.
