Yoel Romero is also an Olympic wrestler and he was taken down easily by Derek Brunson. MMA wrestling is a whole different thing then just straight wrestling. DC barely even attempted TD's in the fight with Jones either. Nobody really knows how Cain vs DC goes in the gym either, nobody is gonna out DC for getting whopped on by Cain even if he did, that s--- doesnt happen. But the fact remains that DC has the body type of a Johnny Hendricks, Jones towered dude. That wouldnt happen with Cain, also if Cain didnt get the TD so what? are we talking about the guy who outstruck Junior Dos Santos for about 10 straight rounds?

If the fight was booked tomorrow id be shocked if Vegas didnt have Cain as the favorite. Forgot how much of a "what have you done for me lately" sport MMA is, seems like ppl forgot about Cain lol.

As for MVP im waiting for him to get his a--- whooped but for whatever reason they dont want to give him any legit competition.

A fight with Cain just simply wouldnt take place at Jones' range though. Cain would almost certainly put his back against the fence for the entire fight and rough him up and look for the TD with relentless pressure. Cain is DC with never ending cardio, better stand up and the factor you seem to be forgetting, size which would wear on Jones. Again if you watch the DC/Jones fight, DC looks like a fat welterweight. I know he fought at HW and had success there, but he shouldnt even be fighting at LHW. Jon's size caused huge problems for him.

And again what happens in the gym between DC and Cain means very little to me when talking about a Cain/Jones fight. Supposedly Mike Pyle used to give Matt Brown fits in the gym, Matt Brown knocked him out cold in 15 seconds though.

But ya i dont really like Page hes cocky and over hyped by ppl. I think he would get mauled by a decent wrestler.

That Page guy beat on a can with the arrogance of people much more proven. That short clip makes it very evident as to how much that promotion is coddling him by comparing him to Silva :'( More like Kimbo Slice. Would love to see him get thrown to the wolves.

Im not underrating DC, just saying he was tiny in there compared to Jon and Cain wouldnt have that disadvantage. Jon is the GOAT to me with a win over Rumble/Gus winner, but that doesnt mean he can go up and run through someone like Cain. Even if he lost that wouldnt do anything to tarnish that legacy imo. They make weight classes for a reason and there is no leap in size like LHW to HW in all of MMA.

Anyways since we are on the subject of Bellator, here are the events they have booked so far.

    Bellator 132-January 16th

Patricio Freire vs Daniel Straus-For FW title
    Georgi Karakhanyan vs Bubba Jenkins
    Houston Alexander vs Virgil Zwicker
    Fernando Gonzalez vs Marius Zaromskis

Pitbull/Straus is a rematch from 2011 where Pitbull won a decision, both guys have improved in leaps and bounds. Would love to see both guys in the UFC, Pitbull would probably be top 5 and Straus could be top 10. Karakhanyan is the former WSOF champ would lost his title to Rick Glenn (who was just dominated by Lance Palmer), he won the title by submitting Palmer. Anyways Jenkins is most known for winning the 2011 NCAA Division I Title at 157 lbs. This seems like a coming out party for Jenkins as Karakhanyan has always had trouble with wrestlers. Alexander vs Zwicker is a rematch of a boring draw they fought to in October, no interest in that one. Gonzalez finished Karo Parisyan real quick in his last fight and Zaromskis was known for his headkicks of Sakarai, Jason High and some other scrub back when he fought in Dream 5 years ago but hes kinda washed up. Should still be entertaining.

    Bellator 133-February 13th

    Alexander Shlemenko vs Melvin Manhoef
    Pat Curran vs Daniel Weichel
    Julia Budd vs Tatalia Nogueira
    Chris Honeycutt vs Clayton MacFarlane

Storm/Manhoef should be exciting while it lasts, probably end up with a Storm submission or KO since Melvin's chin is shot and he has no ground. He can still knock anyone out though. Curran is another FW id like to see in the UFC, no shame in losing to Pitbull. Weichel won the season ten FW tournament back in April of last year when he submitted now Titan FC FW champ Desmond Green, will be interesting to see how he does against a guy like Pat. You might remember Julia Budd from when she was armbarred in Ronda's 2nd SF fight. Not really sure why Bellator adopted the womens FW division because it is so weak, im sure Coker has his eyes on Cyborg as she has said she officially cannot make the cut to BW. Dont know anything about Budd's opponent other then she is undefeated with all finishes. Chris Honeycutt is one of the better WW prospects in MMA, dont know anything about his opponent but it seems like he is getting fed to Chris.

    Bellator 134-February 27th

Douglas Lima vs Paul Daley-For WW title
    Emanuel Newton vs Liam McGeary
    Sokoudjou vs Linton Vassell
    Bobby Lashley vs James Thomspon
    Michael Page vs Curtis Millender

This is the card i was hoping Bellator would put together when they talked about getting rid of the season and putting on monthly shows, great card just based on the top two fights. Lima vs Daley is awesome, Lima probably picks him apart with leg kicks and might possibly take the fight to the ground. Lima is a guy who gets blown up by the Bellator fan boys as a top guy and as a reason to act like Askren is a for sure top guy(he might be but hasnt proven himself against top comp.). Newton is another guy i cant stand from his awkward/embarrassing dance after fights to his boring style (yes he will occasionally land some "spinning s---" but otherwise hes zzz). Sokoudjou is the definition of disappointing, he devastated Arona and Lil Nog but apparently those were flukes because hes been a bum since. Vassell came very close to taking the belt from Newton in his last fight, he'll probably end up getting the submission in this fight. Lashley/Thompson is a rematch that i really dont care about, I know Bellator would love to see Lashley have success but when he fights HW's that dont look like they hopped off a barstool and into the cage, hes looked like s---. Dont really care about the MVP fight, hes getting another can hope he gets a legitimate opponent next.

I'd be more intrigued seeing Jones fight JDS than Cain.

Ya I feel like JDS isnt the same fighter since the Cain beatings, old JDS would have had Stipe out of there in the first round. Still dont think Jones would be able to get JDS down and he'd be in trouble if he didnt.

Anyways Glover is hurt i guess and now Mir vs Bigfoot has been moved to headline that Brazil show.

    Oh and lol

    Mir 0 - 4, Big Foot 0 - 2 (1 NC) in their combined last 7

I don't mind that fight though, just not typically the headlining records you expect.

Not much they could have done with 6 weeks notice, im sure they wanted to keep Jacare/Romero on that UFC 184 card for insurance.

Feels like a lot of the potential Brazilian headliners have started to lose/get old, but they are still throwing out the same amount of cards there as ever. They got another one coming up in Rio at the end of March, Machida/Rockhold will probably headline that one though.

But Jon Jones isnt Barnett, Mir or Bigfoot though, COMPLETELY different level of mixed martial artist. And Jones was clearly the stronger guy? i mean sure after DC gassed, but early? nah i didnt see that. Jones uses his size like nobody in the UFC imo and DC had a huge problem with it. Hes got long legs and what a 12 inch reach advantage on DC?

Again he wouldnt have that against guys like Cain and JDS, we've seen that he had trouble with Gustafsson and Cain would eat Gus' lunch.

Anyways Joseph Duffy was signed by the UFC, hes the guy who last beat Conor McGregor and also has a win over Norman Parke

    Here is his last fight

Very good addition to the LW division, wish they got him for the Sweden card.

Lyoto Machida vs Luke Rockhold set for UFC on Fox 15 Main event on April 18th in Newark, New Jersey.

Not surprised, should do a Frankie vs Lamas co main.

Dana always says that to hype the current fight. UFC should set it up where Weidman fights Romero/Jacare winner ASAP and then Rockhold/Machida winner by the end of the year. My guess is Weidman will fight again in July though so who knows, seems like all the champs want in on that July card when the Reebok deal starts.

Anderson should avoid Weidman like the plague though. Also Anderson and Shogun are coaching that TUF Brazil show so my guess is he fights on a Brazil card in the summer. I know they were talking about a stadium show in Brazil, which would have been Aldo vs McGregor but i think the UFC has realized it would be smarter to do that in Dublin.
