image.jpeg Tate vs Nunes scheduled for 200

Edit: Doesn't appear it is the co-main event which is interesting. Could be looking at 3 title fights on 1 card.

Looks like Cowboys gonna fill in for Ferguson but that's yet to be officially confirmed.

Sounds like Khabib just wants to get back in there, its been almost 2 years since the RDA fight. Was hoping they would move the fight to May 29th and stack that card.

TBH could make the argument of a similarity when GSP was fighting. Didn't finish them but for the most part it was going to be 25 minutes where you're pride was being taken away and he made you look silly. Aside from the Hendricks fight and that 1 kick Condit landed, it was never fun going against GSP. Koscheck can vouch for that.

Yeah it's for sure maybe similar in ways but it's to a worse extent with Jones I feel. He's more dangerous than GSP. Like with GSP you'll probably survive if he's on top of you. With Jones you're just gonna take a beating full of elbows. Sonnen actually said he would want a rematch with everyone he lost to... other than Jones. His fight with Jones actually kinda looked like you threw a random guy off the street in there with him. To think that the guy doesn't even train as much as he should is insane. Can't wait for his return.

I feel like this is a good representation of what I'm talking about... Vitor is just like "f--- this" and wilts over lol. Jones just destroys your will and tortures you. It's just the last two fights he's had he's fought two extremely tough guys who have come in with good gameplans. f--- knows how Gus was still standing in the fifth. After seeing the DC and AJ fight, I think Jones would maul and break AJ if he fought him tbh

Oh for sure. I would always defend GSP for that to. He's champ he's fighting top guys that are tough as h---. It's tough to finish the top guys. But ya Jones on top is way more dangerous. He just has so many tools and he's long. That's why I like Condit, Condit's stand up muay thai is a thing of beauty to watch. Uses all limbs, elbows, knees, kicks etc. It's awesome!

The most title relevant match up is in the 3 spot. I don't know why the UFC wouldn't push chick fights after Ronda blew up.

NBC posted some of the matches from this morning's wrestling trials for Rio. This was a huge upset.

Along with the boxing happening today, it's a pretty good weekend.

Its all about numbers and Rashad is still a bigger name in sport then Tecia/Rose combined. Rashad vs Jones, Rampage, Machida and Liddell all did big PPV numbers.

He wasn't the guy driving those sales. Rather see Rose get pushed into the burgeoning wmma market than see guys on the edge of retirement headline any more cards. Anybody could put up numbers against Lidell and Rampage back then.

What ppv did Rampage sell by himself? He had opportunities to do so against Jardine and Hamill but those were both mediocre. Rashad vs Forrest did a mill, Rampage vs Forrest did 500K with a TUF show, Rashad vs Jones did 700 K and Jones vs Rampage did 520 K. Rashad had some dud PPV's as well but they were both late replacement opponents at 108 and 133.

To me Rashad and Rampage were about = draws and whatever you want to blame it on, Rashad has been apart of many of the biggest PPV's in UFC history. Listen im not the guy who cares more about these legends fighting then a Rose fight, but its fairly easy to understand why they are putting Rashad in the main event more then Rose.

I dont really care about what that graph says or find who was searching for him while he was injured those 23 months(November 13'-October 15') relevant. Im sure Rose was searched more, she was on a TUF show that featured Rousey/Miesha and fought for a title in that time.

You can add up the twitter follower of Rose and Tecia and have maybe a quarter of the followers Rashad has. Casuals are the audience they are looking to draw in on Fox and nobody knows Tecia and not much more would know Rose.

edit: forgot to mention Rashad vs Machida 635K, Rampage vs Machida 500K, Jones vs Machida 480K.

Way over the hill? certainly not. But he looked like s--- against Bader and is 36 years old. Yes i know Glover is also 36 but most of his career he was can crushing and not fighting killers for the last decade like Rashad has, plus the injuries.

Im glad you are optimistic but Rashad is coming off back to back ACL surgeries and that on top of his last performance was reason for me not to be. Rashad has Glover on short notice and 5 rounds but there is a reason he is a 2 to 1 dog.

Also JDS was the betting favorite in the Rothwell fight, not sure THAT many ppl were writing him off especially in the HW division.

Caught the ONE FC card this morning. Just ended. I love this org. These Asian fighters are all super willing to engage and push the action. Askren looked the same as usual, dominating on the ground and getting tooled in standup. I kind of wish he was in the UFC just to see him fight Maia. Every other top guy would knock his a--- out though. You can tell a fighter's stand up is bad when they throw spinning backfists like it's a jab. Oh, and when they block punches with their chin. His crucifix is nasty though.
