Not much MMA going on this week, other then RFA last night. Anthony Njokuani's brother is probably on the bring of a UFC shot, fight last night was supposed to be for the RFA WW belt but he missed weight by 5 LBS. Usually the RFA title holders get shots in the UFC, its like their unofficial minor leagues with Ed Soares running that organization



Next weekend is looking solid though. Bellator Friday, WSOF Saturday and the UFC Sunday. Then the next weekend is Gus vs Rumble and the weekend after Silva vs Anderson.

Wondering what the hold up is with the UFC finding an opponent for Matt Brown. Lombard was all for it prior to fighting Burkman, has an underwhelming performance and then was more interested in fighting Rory afterwards.

I dont think he has much of a shot. You look at the Vegas lines and it looks like a Rousey fight, -1200 for McGregor.

Henry Cejudo vs Chris Cariaso added to UFC 185. Guess they are giving Cejudo one more crack at FLW.

Also Alan Omer is out of his fight with Mirsad Bektic in Sweden, Irishman Paul Redmond will replace him. Also Tito Ortiz said in a recent interview that he will be getting a title shot in June, so i would assume that will be their 2nd big "tent-pole" event. Dont think he would have much of a shot against McGeary or Newton, he can barely get through 3 rounds nm 5.

Sergio Pettis going back to FLW and will fight Ryan Benoit at UFC 185. Probably a good call as he was a tiny BW, but i though i remember him saying the cut to FLW was real tough and he lost hearing for a little bit when he cut there last time. Maybe he didnt do it smart or something.

The more time went on without Brown getting a fight i figured he would get pulled. Aint nobody trying to fight Matt Brown on short notice at altitude.

Thatch vs Thompson is an awesome fight though, not main event caliber but two awesome prospects. Hope they try to add another main card caliber fight to the card though.
