Love Hendo, but this fight is ridiculous. He's ranked 13th, just beat a guy on a losing streak, and is 2-3 in his last 5. Jacare got royally screwed.

Came to terms with them going in this direction weeks ago. TBH i don't really care about a Jacare/Bisping fight. Goes without saying that he deserves a Title shot but i would rather watch any combination of Jacare/Weidman/Rockhold/Romero stylistically. Bisping would be an easy night for Jacare. Hopefully this is a free card and i assume it will be with the time difference.

I prefer the hendo fight but both of them are a little meh to me. Hendo one makes for a cool story but actually witnessing the fight doesn't do much for me.

Check out these two diaz/mcgregor promos. Pretty great 30 second promos. I really like how they promote both of them equally. This is no longer just the conor mcgregor show. The fight is gonna be massive hopefully. I hope they promote and pump it up well.

d---. that's a fight. holloway destined to never get a shot at the title tho.

Also, karolina is awesome. And hot. I hope she beats Rose... rose looks to be getting into her stride right now tho and is more well rounded.

Conor will beat aldo again if the fight is contested on the feet imo. Then again, we saw a much more strategic aldo tonight so I'm sure aldo won't be over extending too much against conor. Even so, I can see conor pushing aldo up against the fence and using his length to just control the fight... eventually getting the KO. Will be cool to see the leg kick question answered tho.

Lawler better stop his "I don't even need my wrestling" approach in the thompson fight lol

Conor vs Aldo 2 is probably a lock unless Conor beats Nate and decides he doesn't want to fight at FW anymore. Weidman/Rochold 2 is also probably a lock. I think if Holm beats Shevchenko in a couple weeks she will get a shot at Nunes on that card. I think there will be a 3rd title fight whether its LW (Alvarez vs Khabib or Ferguson) BW (Cruz vs Dillashaw 2) or WSW (JJ vs Rose/Karolina) or WW (Lawler/Woodley vs Wonderboy). Leaning Alvarez vs Khabib because of the East Coast ties.

As far as Holloway goes he already deserves a shot at the belt but if he doesn't get one I could see him fighting the Pettis/Oliveira winner, him and Do Bronx have unfinished business and the Pettis fight would be great stylistically. I think Edgar is more likely to get a shot on the Main Card due to local ties. If he stays at FW it could be Lamas and if he goes to BW it could be anyone from Assuncao, to Lineker/Mayday winner to Wineland/Saenz winner. They could also re-book that Uriah Hall vs Anderson Silva fight since Hall is from NY or if Al Iaquinta beats Thiago Alves at 202 he is in for a big fight at LW, like a Poirier or Barboza/Melendez winner.

I expect Top 15 NY guys like Jimmie Rivera, Dennis Bermudez (fighting Rony Jason in SLC next month), Gian Villante and Aljamain Sterling on the undercard and Jersey guys like Jim Miller potentially being on there as well.

How rude. Joe Rogan is better than Stann imo. With technique talk, hype, better voice too. The day we don't get to hear joe rogan go "OOOOOH" again is a sad day. Stann is very good tho don't get me wrong. Cruz would be amazing if he could practice more often. He wasn't the best when he tried it if i remember correctly as he kinda just talked too much... Like he'd focus on one aspect of technique for too long. Technique talk was on point obviously tho

EDIT: Also, Dan hardy is good too. It's just none of them come close to the passion joe exudes when he's commentating. I mean where do your problems lie with joe as a commentator?

I haven't enjoyed Joe in years. He gets caught up in narratives that don't mirror the action, he plays favorites, he's had some huge gaffes (every BJJ authority on the planet knew Sage didn't tap early), his dynamic with Goldie is just painful sometimes, and he talks about kicks way too much. I think the unchallenged bs he spouts on his podcast has leaked into his commentary.

Stann is a way better play by play guy with experience inside the octagon that lets him pick up on a lot of stuff other guys don't see. He's well measured and even kieled. He puts in a ton of work to meet the fighters he's covering and research everything. I get that Rogan is a meme and makes funny faces, but people act like we need to replace him with somebody as "quirky" as he is and I just don't agree. I'd much rather have Stann on the action with Goldie there to be the goofy shill. I think part of the reason Stann and Florian get called boring is because they're stuck with fuckboi Anik.

Cruz works great on the FS1 desk, but he's really clunky when it comes to being in the moment. He absolutely butchered calling the weigh ins the other day. I think he's better suited for the conversational side of fight talk. It'd be cool if the UFC would let fighters tag along on commentary now and again like in boxing. Cruz did that pretty well with Goldie and Joe on the prelims a while back.

As for other options, I don't think most of them hold water. Doubt the UFC would want Bas considering him and Mauro did all the Pride stuff. They've always wanted their own brand. People who suggest Robin Black are nuts. His voice and energy alone would turn half of the viewers off instantly. Not sure I've ever heard Hardy do commentary though.

^Hardy does all the European cards including Bisping/Silva, does a decent job imo. As far as Rogan goes he calls the ground game much better then Stann does, that really the only thing he does better then Stann. I enjoy both of them tbh but it wouldn't feel like the same UFC if Rogan was completely out of the picture.

Anyways gonna be interesting to see what kinda changes come with the sale. I still think the UFC will be out of the FOX business by the end of 2017, guess we'll see.

Hm... I've heard the playing favourites accusations before but I do believe it's very important to him not to do that. I know this is one isolated example but when Brendan fought Travis he was pretty d--- critical of him if I remember correctly (and he was right for doing so).

I think if you want to critique his talk on technique you'd be better off critiquing his striking knowledge. He's very good at calling out when a guy's looking for a kick or just talking about kicks in general but he's definitely more knowledgeable when it comes to grappling versus striking. I remember realising how much striking technique talk we miss out on during the fights when cruz was commentating. He just didn't always flow very well. Hopefully with more practice he could get better though.

I think Brian's greatest weakness is Rogan's greatest strength. Passion and energy. Maybe that isn't important to you (?) but I really think it heightens the excitement of the fights. Whereas Brian comes off pretty robotic and monotone at times.

However, where we can both agree is that Robin Black sux lol. He's not only annoying but his breakdowns are overrated. It's mostly just him making up stupid names for certain techniques... like "celtic cross" and just screaming like he's been getting too involved at a Jon Jones after party. There are gems in them every now and again but the useful parts are few and far between imo. If you compare Hardy's breakdown of Hunt vs Lesnar to robin's you'll see what i mean.

Rogan seemed to know when he said it. Apparently it's a violation of HIPAA and Chael could face jail time for letting it out. For anybody in the dark, estrogen blockers are so you don't grow ti--ies while using steroids.

He can't be sued unless he's bound by HIPAA which is unlikely. Chael isn't a doctor and entrusted with medical information so he shouldn't have an issue.

Apparently estrogen blockers aren't an ingredient in supplements at all so I have no idea how they're gonna weasel their way out of this one. Malki was on the mma hour while chael broke the news and malki refused to let up on what the illegal substance was. Very bad look. I'd hate to see Jones be out for 4 years. He's such an incredible talent and an essential part of this era of MMA. He's the best new-school MMA fighter there is and a very important part of history.

I'm very cynical (I'd call it realistic) when it comes to PED's in MMA. I think the majority have at least dabbled. The fact that DC didn't get angry at Jones at all implies to me that he wasn't surprised and has taken them before himself or people in his camp have/are. Some would call that a wild assumption but I also remember Bisping saying Rockhold's camp were on them after he won the belt. Said something like "cheating f---ers" and the mic picked it up. Not that Bisping's word is gospel... Just wouldn't surprise me if true at all.

But personally... the fact that he was on PED's (very likely anyway) doesn't bother me. I understand the pressure the fighters feel and can't blame them for taking them... especially when their competition are also using.

I'm sure most have heard about this or seen the podcast already but Chael told a story about Jones hiding under the octogan at Jackson's for 8 hours because USADA showed up and wouldn't leave until Jon turned up. Who knows if it's true but pretty funny.
