Wow going back to 2 cards in 1 day, thought they deaded that like 4 years ago. 19 events in 20 weeks is kinda crazy. Gonna be FFWD'ing/DVR'ing a lot more fights then i normally do. Was wondering what they were planning for the FN 100, guess 2 events in one day? lol

The dates on those medical suspensions are usually pretty irrelevant. If Conor's shin is just badly bruised, he could be back to training in the first week of September. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I would say they need a Conor, GSP or Nick Diaz on this MSG card. They could stack the card with 3 title fights (JJ vs KK, Woodley vs Wonderboy, Alvarez vs Khabib or Cruz vs Dillashaw/Garbrandt), to go along with Evans/Kennedy and Weidman vs Rockhold/Romero/Jacare, but it won't sell well. I think the card has a floor of 400 K, just because it will get a ton of press as the first MMA event in NY, but they've been working on this s--- for soooo long. I don't really care if they go with the more legit hardcore friendly card, over the random "name fighters" for ratings. I don't think it would be wise for ratings to go with a bunch of random Title Fights.

Still not ruling Fedor out, despite him not being a household name. Before the s--- with Chael's daughter they were talking about him vs Nick Diaz, but I wouldn't have ruled out Chael vs Fedor @ like 220 LBS. Bizarroworld fight, but they gotta (and will) pull something out of their a--- for this card. I could see Dana going back on Wonderboy getting a shot and doing GSP vs Woodley.

True. It does depend on how banged up Conor's foot actually is. Still though, would be cutting it pretty close.

Gonna guess they go the Ronda route with 205 though, she's long overdue a return and seems like the most realistic choice bar Conor vs Champ of his choice. Probably gonna throw Rumble vs DC 2 on there as co-main event given how 202 went.

Yea I left Ronda out of that last post because its almost a certainty she wont be back until next year. Would probably be a good time for DC/Rumble 2, lot of ppl are talking about Rumble after Saturday.

Albert Tumenov vs Leon Edwards added to UFC 204...

    Anyways

Speaking on the UFC Unfiltered podcast this week, White talked about the aftermath of UFC 202 and revealed a surprising plan that might be put in place for Johnson after beating Teixeira.

"You know what man I'm in a weird place," White said. "I saw that fight and It was a great fight, but I've still got to talk to Joe Silva and see what he thinks. I'm thinking that maybe we do Anthony Johnson versus Jon Jones to see who gets to fight Daniel Cormier."

White was then asked whether he had an update on Jones. White didn't give too much away but implied that his situation wasn't looking so bad as first feared back in July.

"I've not talked to Jon but the guy has got 13 lives man," White said. "It's looking good for him. He's got to deal with Nevada right now, and this thing that went down and I can't say a lot about it because it's not my place. We will see how this thing plays out, but it's looking good for him."

In other words "If USADA won't punish Jones for screwing up UFC 200, then we will"

Didn't he publicly deny the UFC being sold and Lesnar's return?

Those are obviously different circumstance, but I'm just saying Dana isn't exactly a trustworthy source (for the record, I'm not expecting Ronda to return at 205 despite being the one to suggest it)

Unbelievable. Definitely in for that Bones AJ fight though, should be a war.
Feel like she's never gonna come back at this point.

UFC is probably offering her big money to come back because Nunes/Pena would do Mighty Mouse numbers.

As for the Jones situation, they are probably just trying not to lose out on the JBJ/Rumble fight which they probably will if Rumble loses to DC again. And the LHW division is running real thin right now. Im ok with them making that fight, but I'd also be ok with them running back the DC/Rumble fight and waiting on Gustafsson to beat Blachowicz on September 3rd and doing Jones/Gus 2.

Gaethje gets another can. Been waiting for WSOF to die for a while now, their cards have been on the decline for a while and I'd like to see some of their guys in the UFC.

So I guess UFC MW Alex Nicholson was the guy from Mike Perry's corner dropping the racist comment.

Here is his weird TKO win over hometown fighter Devin Clark in Sioux Falls last month, he then flips the crowd the the double birds lol.

A guy at my gym has told me to check out the show Kingdom but it's been on my backlog. Got to it yesterday and it's pretty good. I'm on episode 6 of Season 1 (Yeah, I kind of binge watched it last night lol). So far Chris Leben and Cub Swanson have made appearances in it.

Haven't seen it. Dana, Serra and Din Thomas went to the gym it was filmed at and talked to some of the guys.

Starts around 12:44, can't time stamp on my phone.

Sounds like Rory MacDonald is heading to Bellator. Was pretty clear he wasn't gonna be back with the UFC after they pulled him from the rankings the other day.

Alexander Shlemenko is back with Bellator after his 3 year suspension was overturned and he will fight Kendall Grove at Bellator 162 on October 21st in Memphis. Rampage's is from Memphis so i assume he'll fight some bum on the card.

Also TUF LA 3 starts tonight. Last season was pretty weak, but the 1st season produced some solid talent. I tend to just skip right to the fights on the International seasons, but with Forrest and Chuck as coaches it might be more interesting, like the Chael/Wanderlei season was.
