Oct 21, 2022 what part of that song makes you think he's presenting it like it's ideal? It's an extremely somber/depressing song lol. He's talking about how fame and better circumstances don't change the fact that being a drug addict makes him miserable. Rock Bottom is a great song btw. There's room for both. I didn't call him a homophobic misogynist, I said he had songs with homophobic and misogynist lyrics. That's not an oxymoron either...how would it be? Well obviously song is fictional because he didn't k--- his wife lol. What's it a metaphor for? What's the wordplay and metaphors in the lyrics? I'm not saying there isn't any, I'm just asking. I haven't listened to it in years, but it's a song presented as being about a women but he reveals it to be about hip-hop at the end. He literally says that at the end.
Oct 21, 2022 @DKC >what part of that song makes you think he's presenting it like it's ideal? It's an extremely somber/depressing song lol. He's talking about how fame and better circumstances don't change the fact that being a drug addict makes him miserable. but none of the people streaming the track are thinking about any of this. like so many of his listeners say, they turn on the songs to not think. they turn them on to call simulated sex dancing or to cruise the hood with the homies. honestly it seems like your’re assigning way more meaning to his words than his listeners or even he or his constituents, i mean label, do. >I didn't call him a homophobic misogynist, I said he had songs with homophobic and misogynist lyrics 0/10 try harder >That's not an oxymoron either...how would it be? misogyny implies hating women… hating women implies you’re gay… but how can he be homophobic and gay… i’m not saying you say these words about him but people do, they say he’s racist also, and they’re all non-comments, especially considering the way women besides kim and black people besides proof treated em before he became famous. >Well obviously song is fictional because he didn't k--- his wife lol. What's it a metaphor for? What's the wordplay and metaphors in the lyrics? I'm not saying there isn't any, I'm just asking. him killing his wife and mom and stepson and literally everyone is a metaphor for killing rappers who try to battle him. bc i know you realize this. c’mon son >I haven't listened to it in years, but it's a song presented as being about a women but he reveals it to be about hip-hop at the end. He literally says that at the end. exactly. do you think every one of the songs like this he does is about a random girl EXCEPT the one where he says f--- you hiphop? -most- of them are metaphors
Oct 21, 2022 A lo of this post legitimately has speechless to the point where I'm half convinced you're doing a bit. I'm heading out so don't have time to respond rn but will pick this back up later
Oct 21, 2022 i mean… i do think about em pretty often… but like… is anyone who isn’t an alt really on here to this day because of kendrick lamar? lol
Oct 22, 2022 I said this somewhere else: there is always something for anyone. If you look for it, every era has different styles, so there is always something you like. As I think icecube said, there are rappers like doggystyllee which I'm sure you like too. And YG, etc etc. However, its possible that the most popular /mainstream style at one point doesn't really suit you. Like right now rappers like uzi, migos, lil baby, carty are very popular and I don't really care for their style. But its not like because they are huge rn that its the only thing out there. And I don't really have time to look for other stuff so if people on here post different stuff, that's really cool and gets me new s---. Whether its from older or new rappers.
Oct 22, 2022 No you changed yours. Spoiler Then you ignored me when I pointed that out so I figured you didn't want to be avy buddies anymore. You want me to go back to being Ricky Chappelle, or?
