Those were the days. I think MK Trilogy on the N64 had everyone unlocked already, because on other consoles you had to unlock some characters if I'm not mistaken.

Playstation version had more characters though, in N64 I think you had to use some kind of codes to get Motaro and etc.

@Jay for the N64 the hidden characters were Khameleon, Human Smoke, Motaro, Shao Kahn & everyone else is already unlocked. PS1 is Chameleon, MK1 Kano, MK1 Raiden, MKII Jax, MKII Kung Lao, so I guess you're right about that. Speaking of this game, I need to buy it again. One of the best MK releases.

Yup, his twitter is always a good starting point. My guesses as of right now are the guy on the left with the camo pants in the dance kombat picture is Jax and the bow pic belongs to a brand new character. Everything else could be anyone.

I rewatched the MK Gold endings today. s---, I remember Fujin was suppose to be Raiden's successor. That really fell through lol. He was even requested in MK9 as DLC along with Tanya and someone else. You'd figure they'd put Fujin in... I was never a fan but ya.

EDIT: Then again I really don't care about the story continuity. Some are freakin out online b/c "dead" characters from MK9 are back. Big whoop.

They are def gonna have Fujin in the game. He's on my wishlist along with Ermac. I've got a good feeling about the both of them.

Confirmed to be Kano and Sub Zero.

If you ask me, that's a good thing. I don't care too much about Jax and if you look at that vision Raiden has then Jax's daughter will probably be in the final roster anyways so no need for Jax to be playable.

My friend would LOVE for Jax to be in there. I always thought Ermac was real due to that concept art? Whoever made it that's pretty sick. I want Reptile, ninja reptile not Dino Reptile like MK:DA *smh*

Ermac concept art was made by a NRS employee so he's pretty much all but confirmed. Also would like to see ninja reptile. Tho I usually don't like Dino reptile designs, I really didn't mind MK9 Reptile. Ninja version is always preferred tho.

Cyborg Smoke would be cool to. I really like Human Smoke and loved his MK2 throwback in MK9. However, Cyber Smoke would be cool again.

I haven't really followed much on the game. I followed a bit more than MK9 though that was a completely new experience when it came out. Here, I know exactly who's in the game so far.

I also thought they'd go with new characters... are they giving all the old away now then going to throw in the rest as new?

Yea that's more or less how they've been doing things. Since Ferra/Torr, Cassie Cage, Kotal Khan and D'vorah were revealed, they've only revealed old characters. There was a supposed leak a couple of months back saying that the current plan is to have 32 characters on the final roster. The breakdown went like this

16 Existing: (8 from MK9 and 8 from MK4 and maybe a few different games)
16 Brand New

The validity of the leak is still questionable but, still it's interesting to think about.

16 Brand New? s---, that's a lot. As long as they aren't horrible like the GC/PS2/Xbox era ones. The issue with new characters comes cloned moves or similar move types. Like Cassie having a combination of Cage and Sonya for example. Guess we'll see. April is coming quickly.

Yeah, there's supposed to be more new characters than any previous MK ever had. As far as character clones - if D'vorah, Kotal Khan or Ferra/Torr are any indication of what's to come then I'm hyped. I really like what they've done with those three.

As far as Cassie goes, I'm completely okay with her as long as Sonya and Johnny are not playable. Would just be a waste of a roster slot imo. But if they can put two separate characters' move sets and personalities into a single character to save on roster slots, then I'm all for it.

I agree with you guys about ninja reptile. I liked that reptile a lot more than the one in MK9 even though they did have his MK1 costume in the game. The ninja characters are my favorite, so the more, the better. Human Smoke has barely made any appearances in previous MK games except MK9, so I have a good feeling about him returning to MK X.

Looks like Mileena and Shang Tsung might make their way onto the roster. They may be the two that get revealed this week.

It's frost vs fire as Sub Zero and Scorpion continue their never ending rivalry. But there are also plenty of other characters with messy histories, like Kitana and Mileena or Shang Tsung and everyone.
