Video highlighting online features



There are a couple of other things worth noting as well:

Sonya? We already know she will have a role in the story but the fact that she is featured as the face of the Special Forces faction makes me wonder whether she will be playable or not? This could possibly be an alternate costume for Cassie Cage as well, as she normally doesn't wear the beret. In other screens from the video, we see Cassie (in her normal costume) in the place of whoever it is in the Special Forces tab.


Potential new characters? One of these is the wielder of the bow that Ed Boon teased a while back, while the other looks like it could be another new character or maybe Jax.

Here is the tweet Ed Boon put out a while ago teasing the bow guy.

I also have a list of characters that I personally believe to be in the game. Some new and some old. Keep in mind that this is NOT a wishlist. It's just a list of people that, to me, are reasonable to believe will be in the game based off of MK9 and the MKX comics released in the past month or so.

I'm slightly confused on the factions still

So at some point a faction invades another and you're supposed to help defend? If there's only 5 does that mean we're dealing with potentially millions of players defending their factions at the same time 1v1 or what? Sounds like MKW1

Factions do not invade other factions, they just compete for superiority. A realm may invade the game world and trigger an online event. Im not sure about what that event is but I'm guessing it's something along the lines of ''Netherrealm has invaded! The first faction to raise 'x' amount of points or completes 'y' amount of challenges will recieve double faction points for 24hours''

Bruh I can't wait to cop this game. I'm buying a next gen system right when this game drops. Would this game be better on the Xbox One or PS4? I'm talking about controller wise, which one fits better with fighting games?

Just hope Tag Kombat comes back. That was awesome in MK9 when you and a friend could play the Ladder or online together.

The PS controllers tend to have a better D Pad, so that helps for fighting games. Also if you get it on PS4 Ima have to handle you online

You're talking about Deception right? I spent so much time on that, I literally went to every realm & explored the s--- out em lol. I agree though, they can expand on that now & make it a lot more detailed. I'm gonna tweet this to Ed Boon lol.

I was leaning more toward the PS4 cause of the D pad, but all my favorite exclusives are on the Xbox One....f--- it, I'm getting the PS4 for MKX & whooping that a--- online.

Kind of wish that the brutalities had a little bit of a cinematic feel to them like the fatalities do. Other than that, I like the way they've been redone and the fact that some require special tasks to be done throughout the match.

Anyways. We're getting a character reveal (at least one) and a story trailer tomorrow morning. 6AM PST
