    Gucci mane.

Unpopular opinion: I honestly think he's trash but i respect him because he's had an influence and has a good ear for new talent.

Has to be Kanye #1 :yejoice:

College Drop changed the game, don't always have to be gangsta
    Late Reg honed the game
    Grad killed gangsta rap
808s gamechanger, don't always have to brag about everything, and birthed Drake
MBDTF back against the wall and Ye came up with perfection
WTT brought Jay back from the grave
Yeezus fighting against fashion companies, dense
    TLOP namechanger

Responding to the idea "influence" is an objective or fair barometer for assessment. Your own take on his work aside- think it gets to a larger question

See below re: legacy, or read the whole piece.

i think this is a very fair point to make but, generally speaking, i'm not using influence as a barometer of anything else--just listing those who i found most influential.

yeah i know except (i believe) in discussions of eminem's legacy/greatness, your - perhaps recent - counter has been: "well theres no one who is indebted to him today" . im paraphrasing but it sounded like you were implying bc theres not alot of his imprint/dna today that hes less great, overrrated, etc.

just offering the wire shows that can be a fallacy!!!!!!
