Jun 22, 2017 ROCKY - what I loved about the whole series is that it's different your typical feel good story. A couple of the movies he lost the fight, but it was his effort and will to never give up that made him come out victorious in his eyes or the next time. STAR WARS - the GREATEST MOVIE SERIES EVER, love everything about it. George Lucas is a creative genius. These movies definitely made me become a bit of a scifi nerd.

Jun 22, 2017 of course they are, but cinema as a whole isn't entertainment and treating it as such is exactly the reason why Hollywood and these purely entertainment films have such a strong presence. Cinema at its purest is the highest form of art because it can fuse all art together: painting, photography, music, literature, etc.

Jun 22, 2017 yeah man we all do but I just think it's important to make the distinction that film is indeed an art because for some bizarre reason it has been commercialized more than any other art form to the point where the general public is not as open to it being a free expression of the artist and everyone expects a certain formula, wheras with music or painting people are for the most part much more open to interpretation or accepting of experimentation within the medium.
