This album doesn’t quite reach the highs of d--- like DNA and FEAR but it’s lows are not as low as LOVE it’s consistently good. More replay value than TPAB. I still think it’s too early to say where it ranks in his discography but definitely not GKMC tier. Top 5 tracks in order: Count Me out, N95, Rich Spirit, Savior, Mr MoraleLast edited: May 27, 2022Packman, CrimsonKing and Ordinary Joel like this. -

Ngl, not on some Joey type s---, but I've had this playing since my 2nd listen of last night. I'm a f---ing d-ck rider man this really did grow on me like a mf, it's good as h--- from start to finish. I could do without Die Hard and I don't see myself purposely listening to Auntie Diaries outside of a full album listen, but this is good s---.hargydon, Ordinary Joel and jankland like this. -

This album is amazing on 4th listen. The production and themes that run throughout it are the highlights. N95 is a top 5 Kendrick song easily.hargydon, Ordinary Joel and Modli2 like this. -

Hard for me to rank the albums because they're all great.
GKMC is my #1. I'd rate d--- under TPAB. Mr. Morale is still in the air, but somewhere in the middle of lineup.Ordinary Joel, D12Shady and AceVentura like this. -

We Cry Together least listenable song on here. Not necessarily saying it should have been excluded from the album because it fits, but it's the only song I skipOrdinary Joel, Dorian and Modli2 like this. -

also to your other reply, yea Kendrick doing 280K first week makes sense to me and I expected that. It's 2022. Physical sales are non existent (especially when they don't even release in this instance), bundles that boosted sales previously were taken away, and streaming is a hellhole for album sales.Ordinary Joel, D12Shady and Modli2 like this. -

It's impossible to listen to albums you love as much as you might want, let alone albums you just like. I mean especially if you have a life lolOrdinary Joel, DKC and oklama like this. -

there's a reason that an album like Doggystyle or MBDTF or Ready to Die or Aquemini stands out so much. it's because for every album that's a truly timeless masterpiece, there are 10,000 that aren't. some of them are pure dogshit of course, but many of them are just good albums, and I have fond memories of them and revisit every so often. or maybe they just served a purpose at that point in time/culture and can be appreciated as such. if you're looking to only listen to 11/10 game changing genre defining picks, you're going to miss out on a lot of great music.Ordinary Joel, D12Shady and Enigma like this. -

Kendrick was out of the news for 4 years and blindly dropped an album that's for the most part not radio friendly and a lot of people aren't into and it still did great numbers. And post and travis and drake are more popular and have legions of pop stans behind them. In the streaming era everyone is going to check these albums out because it costs them zero extra money + rap genius will always put them on playlistsOrdinary Joel, AceVentura and Modli2 like this.
