    Closing with Mirrors and based on the fact it’s the last TDE album I’m definitely anticipating Kendrick pulling an Andre 3k. Basically retiring and becoming even more of an enigma dropping random features now and then. Either that or we’ll get a surprise album in 8 years.

    It might grow on you. Most had a problem with Kendrick’s voice when he first came out. And throughout his career he’s used his vocals widely . It doesn’t always work for him. But I like that he still try’s to do something different. As to where someone like lloyd banks has sounded the same on every single song he’s ever done .

    I love the beat and most of the lyrics but keems gotta go. He sounds like an actual baby. Whiny and s---. Idk it’s weird.

    Your last sentence hits the nail on the head.

    Like, if Pusha makes his 400th song about coke, one could say its incredible he can still do that and make a good record. Or you could say why the h--- can't he think of something else. Its just how you see it. Thats why I said there is no such thing as 100% objectively rating music (or art in general) since there is always taste/bias involved.

    Now whether its kendrick, or eminem, kanye there is always a camp that hates it (even before its out) and that call it a classic. There seems to be no in between.

    Someone called me a 'middle man' once, which was meant as some sort of insult lol. I have no problem giving my opinion, but its simply not as black and white to me with most things. Take this album, I've been bumping 6/7 songs of it all day. And since I'm a song listener more than album, I'm happy with it. But as a whole album its just okay to me because I would skip some songs.

    Father Time, N95, Mr Morale, Savior (minus the awful hook), Count Me Out & Rich Spirit are in rotation!

    I just realized this album is horrible not because its horrible. Because disc 2 is the longest stretch of bad songs i ever encountered

    disc 1 is actually decent

    Definitely one of the best songs for me.

    And I really f---s with his singing, especially during “not about who’s right who’s wrong” through “blink twice again I’m gone”

    Yea this is his worst album to me. That’s not saying much because I still find it good, but I’d comfortably put it last. It’s a little messy, and I find a lot of the beat selection questionable. And of course like with any kendrick product, I find his vocals in some spots to be super annoying. Father Time and We Cry Together are my only takeaways here. We Cry is 10/10
