Not surprised Em liked this so much. Kendrick was able to execute music that Em has been trying to make for like the past decade. Songs about women, lust, love etc. while utilizing pop-ish hooks/choruses. Kendrick was able to do it in a way that wasn’t bland/stereotypical though.

I just got round to listening to this and wow, what a massive let down.

No doubt there's a few really great tracks on here but overall this is just a f---ing mess. I'm a kendrick stan and it feels like one of those post hiatus Eminem albums, i.e. you listen through it trying to convince yourself it's good but you know deep down it's s---, give or take a few moments.

I don't know who Kendrick is trying to be these days. He barley raps on this album and when he does his flows are pretty boring. Some of the lyrics and choruses are just plain stupid too, I was sitting there thinking "this really made it onto a Kendrick album?"

Can't understand the critical acclaim it's getting at all. This is by far his worst project. Up until this album he had a Kanye-esque discography where all he released were classics.
