I was revisiting this one tonight and it gets better with every listen, plus it has a lot of quotes that are simple yet powerful
"Shut the f--- up when love is talking"
"This is me and I'm blessed"
"What's your life like? bs and gossip"

Easily one of the worst albums of all time. JP was right when he said Revival >>>> Mr Morale

That's an unfair comparison tho, what IS better than Revival?

By Kenny's standards this was a 7/10 album. Haven't listened to it for a while but my favs were

    Count Me Out
    Rich Spirit
    Die Hard
    N95
    Father Time
    Purple Hearts

Disc 2 was a bit of a mess though. Crown is one of the worst songs he's ever released.

I somewhat agree, the best s--- is on disc 1 and you gotta be in a certain mood in order to have patience for almost everything after "count me out", but if you are in that mood it's very satisfying save 1 or 2 skips for me (agree about crown, not a big fan)

    we ain't know no better.
y'know what btw? We Cry Together grew on me, not that I wouldn't skip it if it came on shuffle (wasn't made for that anyway) but now I feel like it adds to the whole s--- if you play the whole project

I have a weird relationship with this project in general, a couple of weeks ago I started to definitely click with it and what it was trying to do, especially with HOW it does it (main problem for me on first listens in 2022) there are songs that I always like which are the standouts (N95, rich spirit, count me out, father time) but there are others that I hate sometimes and sometimes I really really like, especially on disc 2, I loved Mr. Morale last night while listening to it and that used to be an instant skip for me the first couple of listens I gave it when it came out

to sum up all this bs, I'm glad I gave it a lot of chances otherwise I would've missed some good introspective s---, even if I'm not on Kendrick's position or have anything close to Kendrick's life, I sometimes felt a mirror being held up at me lol

agreed. Count Me Out is one of my favorite Kendrick tracks and this album had some really good songs but overall was average
