The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced,” he says.

“I’ve been told my singing isn’t conventional. Ethiopian music was the music I grew up on, artists like Tilahun Gessesse, Aster Aweke, and Mahmoud Ahmed. These are my subconscious inspirations. ‘The Hills’ was the first time you actually heard the Ethiopian language in my music. It will definitely be key on this next record.”


“I promised myself that I would never tweet or talk about politics and focus on the music, but I was just so bewildered that we lost more of our people to these senseless police shootings,” Tesfaye says. “It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that there are people who can’t or won’t see what Black Lives Matter is trying to accomplish. I wish I could make music about politics. I feel like it’s such an art and a talent that I admire tremendously, but when I step into the studio I step out of the real world, and it’s therapeutic. It’s an escape, but recently it’s been very hard to ignore, and it’s also been very distracting. Maybe you’ll hear it in my voice, but it is not my forté.”

2016 has picked up steam lately. At the beginning of the year there wasn't much justification to call 2016 equal to 2015 in terms of output. Now it seems like Q3 and Q4 will have us drowning in music. Even thought Q4 isn't technically here yet which year do you think is superior in terms of music released?

My vote still goes to 2015 as TPAB is better than any album released this year imo and Summertime 06 is better than Prima Donna, one of 2016 best projects so far. Also in terms of R&B, id take BBTM, TTCL, and Know It All over Malibu. Still haven't heard Blond yet

FutureSex/LoveSounds is the second album by Justin Timberlake (the goat ) released on September 8th, 2006.
It has six singles, most of which seem to have done well on the charts.
These singles are SexyBack, My Love, What Goes Around...Comes Around, Until The End Of Time and Summer Love, released from the summer of 2006 to the winter of 2007.

This is still my favorite Timberlake album. Lately it's been in constant rotation. I love starting my mornings listening to this whilst drinking coffee.
Each song is incredible and the singles are iconic af. I still remember hearing this album years ago around the time it dropped. My mom loved it and would play it in the car fairly often.
I recall several other members praising this album before, so I know I'm not the only one whom loves it.
