Figured why not try to make this SXN a little more active with a simple game. I'm including the bonus track "Twenty Eight" into this.
If you don't know how to play, every 12 hours you vote for your least favorite track. Whatever song has the most votes gets eliminated and this keeps going until one song is left.
Tracklist:
1. High For This
2. What You Need
3. House Of Balloons/ Glass Table Girls
4. The Morning
5. Wicked Games
6. The Party And The After Party
7. Coming Down
8. Loft Music
9. The Knowing
10. Twenty Eight

almost 100% of rap music is just the same subject matter repeated over and over again. There is not one rapper who touches on subjects that haven't been said before except maybe macklemore because he raps for gay rights, etc.
The people that still buy into conscious rappers are still in that 90's/ real rap phase that everyone was in at one point. They haven't heard enough music to realize the same story is being told over and over again, and that the only innovations that can be made are changing the sound of rap instead of the lyrical content.MTY, mow, Mike Tyson and 7 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Most Disappointing Sophomore Album? When it comes to being a star, you got to know how to keep delivering. Some people just know what it takes, others fail to live up to the hype. What is the most disappointing album that followed up an impressive debut?
There are a couple of things you have to consider;
- The quality of the sophomore album
- The hype that was built around that album
- How far they've fallen off from their first album.
This one I'm going to backtrack all the way back to the 90s where Snoop Dogg was an iconic figure in the west. After his debut classic in Doggystyle, he has never lived up to that standard since and a few years later he released Tha Doggfather. While it was somewhat a reasonable album and not his worst, he didn't quite get to the level of Doggystyle. It's disappointing in the sense that he never really found the best form of himself on his own projects again.
The next sophomore album came out not long after he released a track with Kendrick Lamar that didn't feature in the album but left the hip-hop community going crazy with this amazing verse by Kendrick.. (Control if you haven't figured out by now). I'm talking about Big Sean's Hall of Fame. While Big Sean's arguable yet to release a good album, I was still very disappointed with this album considering the support he has around him with the likes of Kanye West and his production team (Mike Dean, No ID, Travis Scott), the album was quite horrible and really has no excuse.
This was actually harder than I thought..A lot of people say Massacre, I somewhat agree but wasn't quite sure. What do you guys think?

A section for tracks released daily by artists who don't have their own section. Ideally it would replace the need to use another site like 2DBz or HHH to stay up to date with the newest stuff. It would be easily sustainable, more so than the new album discussion sxn. It would also be more practical than a singles thread which would be hard to navigate. A trial run of a week would prove all of this imo.mow, Music, boyz n the suburbs and 7 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

The legal team helped Lil Wayne in his lawsuit against Birdman.
Lil Wayne is being sued by his lawyers, according to TMZ.
The legal team claims Lil Wayne owes them $375,000 for its work on his $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money CEOBryan "Birdman" Williams. The company says it sent the New Orleans rapper bills for a year that he did not pay.
Lil Wayne first filed the lawsuit to demand off the label because of the hold on the release of Tha Carter V.
