It seems like being edgy people on here think makes them look mature or something. While I agree some rappers come off as genuinely corny like Hopsin, Macklemore, MGK, G Eazy, Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, etc, most if not all of the other lyrical miracle or backpack rappers people trash on here aren't corny whatsoever.

Like people are really saying Kendrick Lamar, one the best mcs of this era is corny because of the praise TPAB got. Fyi trying to even out reception by shi--ing on something or someone is f---ing stupid. It doesn't make you look smarter at all. Theres people here who would vote for Playboy Carti if he was in a poll vs J Cole. Eminem, one of the greatest lyricists to touch a mic is seen as inferior to f---ing Plies on here. I just don't understand. After the corny Kendrick thread was featured I was through lol

Do you hate the rappers or do you really just hate the fans and try to spite them?

i grew up in a predominantly spanish building where all you seen was baby joker looking a--- n----s around with their blue bandanas hanging outside their pockets.

Eventually an afghan family moved in, on my floor to be exact. Well aware of the situation and the type of people who lived in the building they kept their children (6 of them) in doors and didn't allow them to go outside and hangout with me and the rest of the kids in the building, they thought we were bad influences. We all went to the same school so we became close throughout the school year but we never interacted inside our building afraid of how their parents would react. Until one day i get a knock on my door and it was them, they asked if i wanted to come over. I was confused b but before i can say something they said their parents went to a wedding so they had the crib to themselves so i was like iight cool whatever i'll go. As we're walking down the hall to their house i was nervous as f--- b, once i stepped in the crib they had a goat carpet (all muslims have goat carpets in their crib) we had to take our sneakers off to walk in further so i took off my air force ones, left them right in front of their door with all their sneakers then proceeded to walk through out their house looking around like jazz on fresh prince.



An hour goes by and we're having fun throwing s--- at people and cars going by the building and playing playstation. Suddenly we hear the front door open and its their parents who came early, we're all panicking so i slid under one of their bunk beds to hide. Not even 30 seconds after im under the bed the first thing the littlest one of their family who's been playing with us the whole time says "cruz is not under the bed". He didnt say hi mom, hi dad the first thing that came out the n----s mouth was "cruz is not under the bed". All i hear is a couple of laughs following that dumb s--- so im thinking im good but then i hear like 4 simulatneous smacks sending one of the kids in the room on the floor. Im under the bed scared for my life b.

I hear their parents call my name to come out so i do, they walked me to the door and on some real s--- the father tossed me and my air force ones out the door like jazzy jeff from fresh prince b.



They eventually told my parents, i got in trouble and was told to never go back over their house especially without their consent. A couple months go by and i get another knock on the door and it was them telling me again their parents are at another wedding for real this time and they wont be coming until the next day. In the back of my mind im like how many f---ing weddings do they go to but i was like iight im gonna tell my mom a lie and come over. Like 5 hours passed we're playing the new splinter cell on the playstation 2 and with no sign of any parents we continued to joke about the previous time i came over. 20 minutes after that what do you know the front door opens i f---ing immediately did a cartwheel out their bedroom, turned the light off in the apartment and some how ended in the master bed room behind a window curtain.



You would think i was practicing for this moment with how quick i reacted. I could hear the kids trying to distract the mother from coming in her room but with my luck not only does she come in her room she begins to undress her self while i'm a behind this window curtain. I had my back turned so i couldn't see s--- but i was scared for my life, this is a religious women undressing and i'm in her home without her consent. After she finished changing the kids came in the room trying to make her go in the kitchen so they could try to sneak me out through the front door but that didnt work she sat in the living room which is near the front door so i was pretty much stuck in the master bedroom. Eventually two of the kids came in the room so im thinking they're here to tell me the coast is clear, i can run out the front door but na these n----s grab me, open up the window behind me and toss me out into the firescape. Im looking at these n----s like wtf is up this tossing n----s out doors and windows s--- b is this like a muslim thing. They closed the window on me like nothing happened so im on the 6th floor firescape with just socks b. Im going down this firescape as careful as possible and once i hit the ground i turned around and seen my dad who was just coming from work looking at me in disgust, screaming at me. He was watching me struggle down the firescape in my socks the whole time. As we get to my floor i see my sneakers scattered in the hallway, so i knew their dad found out and tossed them s----s out like jazzy jeff which made me going down the firescape in socks and almost killing myself to not get caught pointless. Their father seen my sneakers when he walked through the door and put two and two together. I got punished for a good 3 months but as the years went by i grew remotely close with their family and i consider them family now. We always laugh looking back at these moments and laugh.

It's always important to post this s--- right here


First blog. First post. On the real, I have no clue what this blog is gonna turn into. I debated whether it would be hip hop based, or more social/political. I decided though, to let go of any expectations and just let s--- flow however it may. No rules, restrictions or guidelines.

On that note, an introduction is necessary.

J. Cole. Rapper and Producer out of Fayetteville, North Carolina. I spent my college years in NYC at St. John's University. I used college as the tool to move closer to the music industry, as music has been my dream since 13. Now graduated (Magna c-m Laude, holla), all energies are devoted to the steady climb to the top.

I still represent the Ville in all of my music. It's important that I give all due respect and loyalty to the city and state that molded me through all of my experiences. It's my ultimate dream to see my city shine along with the many other talented artists coming out of the region. No doubt it's gonna happen. I'ma see to it.
