Feb 10, 2016 Great write up @Narsh The roscoe lines have stuck with me since first listen, I love the "did him badly" so much. I do feel there are too many features tho. I guess with family being the cohesive theme, maybe it's how it had to be Either way, I'm Up is great
Feb 10, 2016 yeah. at first it felt like i was justifying the features to my self but the more i sat with the album the more purposeful it felt. no thug project ive heard to date has a theme like this one u know? and based off that new interview thug's sisters did with complex, thug was messing w the tracklist even the day before it came out. it was on purpose glad u liked it man
Feb 10, 2016 Only problem I saw was that the positive bias in every adjective used could have been turned down a bit, but that's the norm with a Narsh article and its a thought piece moreso than a review so it isn't a glaring offense
Feb 10, 2016 I literally can't stop playing For My People and it hurts me so much because the bass in my truck is broken and due to the mixing I have to listen at half volume
Feb 10, 2016 Nah, it's just shaggy, formless sloppy hagiography. Piece like this should be 1500, maybe even 1000 words max. i could go line by line but, for instance: Young Thug explained how he was in utter disbelief should be Young Thug explained his utter disbelief We weren’t properly prepared for this, and that’s solely on Thug and his camp, but not allowing it to fall through the cracks is up to us…or not. no
Feb 10, 2016 In the middle of reading but I just wanted to point out that this has to be the most vulnerable feeling thug project we have gotten which is what makes it so good. Love the family orientation.
Feb 10, 2016 Somehow I managed to listen to the whole mixtape... it wasn't as bad as I thought that's why I rate it 2/10 instead of 1/10 lol nonetheless, the review is well written
Feb 10, 2016 nah man I actually read it and it's dope, obviously I don't feel his music but even tho it was an interesting read
