    Ether is 20 years old so I'm not surprised it's lost some impact. I think people take for granted how iconic and scathing it was. The name itself became synonymous with being killed.

    This is such a weak shot though. Calling out a recording artist for recording different songs from different perspectives?

    As played out as all the fa---- bars are now, I think it worked really well at the time. It wasn't about saying he was 'gay' as much as it was a constantly building list of people he was 'd-ck-riding' in order to achieve.

    From one angle, Jay totally wins for signing Nas. He's in a position of power there and has done great business. On the other, signing a once enemy is a pretty big compliment to that artist. Honestly my favourite thing about the Jay/Nas beef was that it has ended on good terms. It pushed both of them to do better and they ended up making a bunch of cool songs together in the years since.
