Jul 21, 2023 After the last 3, it is a little underwhelming. Probably 4th out of the 5 for me on first couple of listens, but that is unfairly negative when you consider the quality of this run. This is the first time I worry Nas is risking over-saturation and I really think he needs to do something different next time around to keep things fresh. Do that Preemo album plz. Some bangers on here regardless. Fans will no doubt be disappointed by 50's verse but I'm cool with it. f---ing the verse off after a few bars and talking s--- for a while is the best use of 50 Cent in 2023 imo. Jul 21, 2023 Magic 1 was really d--- hard to top and II doesn’t top it. It’s not bad but it’s not top tier Nas. Hit boy didn’t really add a lot new (not a bad or good thing) Hit boy top tier for sure but the samples clips either hit or miss. It’s looking at 7/10 for me off first listen (subject to change) the little 50 verse was cool but not much to decipher since short. Abracadabra was a great track for sure it’s the best. I’ll do a top 5 for sure. I will say this the ending is very strong. Second half is hitting more than first. So many bars here. A lot of great punchlines. I mean with more time this could age as well as Magic but I don’t believe it will top it.
Jul 21, 2023 There are some good tracks but I like Magic too much. The majority of the beats don't even sound like a Magic 2. Those tracks sound like KD3-leftovers to me. Especially the first track. I would've preferred more sample-type-beats like the ones he used in Ugly or Wu For The Children.

Jul 21, 2023 KD 3.5 but yeah. I am fine with the Magic II title just yeah it does sound a lot like King’s disease style than the OG magic 1 not a bad thing just a grower. I will say Magic 1 clicked for me instantly and this time around I will have to say I need more time with Magic II to decipher.
