IKR? I was set on drafting Devin Booker the entire draft until it got to the Kings and I realized Winslow was still on the board. When I saw that the Pistons took one of our guys, Stanley Johnson, and the Hornets weren't gonna trade, I was praying that we took Winslow instead. Unbelievable. Thank you Charlotte for not accepting that trade offer from Boston so they could take Winslow.

Winslow is a lot like Butler I guess. I haven't watched enough Jimmy Buckets to make a fair comparison tho.

I found this quote from Justise from the combine.

"I don't think my game really matches up with James Harden but I like his game," Winslow told NBA TV. "I'd go with Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler, they're two-way players that can go on offense but are even better on the defensive end."

It's understandable that he doesn't wanna compare himself to the MVP runner up, but he honestly plays better D now than Harden probably ever will. Either way, I'm sure D Wade will show him the ropes on what it takes to become a superstar. He seems like the kind of guy who will put in the work to become great.

He definitely seems like he won't have any problems putting in the work. In all of his interviews and press conference appearances he's impressed the entire Heat organization and his work ethic has never been a question. That's the good thing about drafting a Duke guy. Most of them tend to be high character.

Which reminds me of another thing. Him and Deng both share the same college/coach. Idk how much that will help, but it can't hurt anything.

Well Luol is great guy and was huge for Jimmy, so I'm sure he'll be just as helpful with Justise. They used to play 1 on 1 in practice all the time. All this talk about Luol makes me kind of miss the guy lol.

True that. We actually got a top 10 protected pick from the Kings via the Cavs from the trade so that's definitely a positive. I think its top 10 protected until 2017, and after that it turns into a 2nd round pick.

Players are getting paid with the cap increase in mind. We've talked a lot about it going up to 90 mill next year, but it's supposed to be at around 108 mill the year after. Teams are willing to overpay this year for players because they will be market value next year and then bargains the year after.

Ya they should go from 21 wins to 30-35. Also the way Hibbert was looking at times last year I might like the Brandon Bass signing for them better, he should start over Randle but he probably won't. He's a great guy to have coming off the bench.

So D-Will's buyout agreement is going to be in the 25-30 million dollar range. He'll recoup the rest of the money through his Mav's contract once he clears waivers. @redsoxx you have to be ecstatic about this lol.

I don't know why the Mavs didn't make this move sooner. It might have given them a better shot to keep DJ. He really f----- them, they would have been a decent team with D-WIll, Wes, Parsons, Dirk, and Tyson. I have to imagine they would have kept Tyson around if DJ just signed with the Clippers from the jump.

Ya I'm pumped. With Deandre I thought the Mavs were the 6-8 seed in the West depending on Wes' health. When I heard DJ went to the Clippers I was originally stoked, but then started getting worried they would blow the team up and go full tank(missing the top 7 protection). Getting D-Will means they will probably be just outside the playoffs, with potential to slip even more with injuries.

The Brooklyn pick is looking great. They are still trying to find a taker for Joe Johnson, if they do then we'll be sitting pretty(top 5 potential). If they don't then that pick is still top 10 IMO. Also Lopez has a little trend of following a healthy season with an early season injury. Plus he just got paid.
