    Idk how I feel about the fire, but the first name that comes to mind for them to get is Scott Brooks. Played in Houston too.

    I feel bad for McHale. I definitely don't think his coaching career is over but I wouldn't mind seeing him back on TV.

    Yeah he was great on TV. Not really sure about this move. They showed some resolve in the playoffs vs the Clippers. They added a ball dominant pg to an offense with James Harden, so the growing pains were to be expected. What I don't think they expected was to be this bad on defense. Still think it's a bit early to let a coach like that go.

    Yep. Morey got all these different pieces and expected McHale to work magic right away, when in reality, their offensive struggles have been due to Dwight underachieving and Harden being ice cold much of the season. Unfortunately, they can't fire either of them. This is more so Morey and the team's fault than it is McHale imo. The dude just got a big extension last year too.

    Speaking of Dwight, that's one of the steepest declines I've seen in an elite player in a long time.

    That's a bit harsh on McHale to be sacked this early. Although it is pretty hard to catch up in the West, they need to do something quick.

    I'm a Dwight fan, my dad is a big Reggier Miller fan so he put me onto basketball when I was 12/13 but I didn't start to watch it constantly until like 16. Dwight was the first player I really became a fan of and that 08'-09' Magic team was worthy of their name :hovcry:

    I remember Rafer Alston, Hedo, Rashard, Peitrus, Gortat, Courtney Lee, Williams, and Stan leading the way, they were all so good :mjcry:

    After Dwight left to LA I followed but I strongly dislike the Lakers so I didn't keep up like that, then when he moved to Houston I was happy cause Harden team up but yeah he needs to step it up. I still remember his last days in Orlando how they asked him if anything was wrong and he said no, then they asked Stan the same question right after and he said Dwight wanted him out. It was only 2 years ago from that point that everything had been going so well, they were taking out the Cavs and Celtics, and Dwight and Stan were always having fun with each other. Even Patrick Ewing as his assistant coach was beast. It was all so perfect :mjcry:

    Yeah it's too bad how it turned out for him, but a lot of it was his fault. That back surgery he had probably is a big part of it since so much his game relies on athleticism.

    Yeah I know he was a big jerk around that time, but when you love someone you look past the flaws :emoji_cry:

    That back injury really was bad =\

    His vertical isn't what it used to be :wow2:

    Ya those Cetics/Magic series' in Dwights prime were fun. Magic wouldn't have touched the Celtics in 09 if KG was healthy though, that was probably the best Celtics team in the Big 3 era(started 27-2). I still have nightmares of that stick figure Mikki Moore trying to guard Howard, when Perk was out(Powe tore his ACL in the Bulls series).

    I always felt like McHale underachieved with the Rockets, he's not a very good coach imo.

    The biggest mistake we did was let Jameer Nelson come back from injury which took away minutes from SkipToMyLou Alston. Alston was having a great playoff series from memory.

    That Courtney Lee missed alley opp will always haunt me. :kdotcry:
