Yeah I've noticed that too, he definitely seems a step slower and less explosive than he was even last year. Although I'm not sure if you saw the game vs. the Wizards but he did drive to the basket a few times (although no dunk) and I thought he looked better in that regard.

I really don't know what the answer is man, it wouldn't surprise me if part of it is just him trying to be careful so he doesn't get injured again, I think he wants to try to make it through the whole season. Now of course it doesn't sound like the Kobe we know to be careful but he's had to take a totally different approach so it wouldn't shock me if that was the case here..Either that or just the combination or injuries and age caught up with him I suppose.

It's kinda sad to see this season but I'm still trying to enjoy the ride and am optimistic it'll improve for Kobe as the year goes on, last night was his best game so far this season.

Yeah man last night was a treat to watch. I was surprised to find out that was the only the third time in his career he hit two go ahead shots in the final minute. Vintage Kobe. I still need one more dunk though. Just one more.

Also what do you think about Russell? I think he is trash and once again Jim Buss f----- up big time. Terrible pick.

Western Conference has fallen off pretty hard outside of the Warriors and Spurs.

I certainly hope Kobe's still planning on dunking again, maybe he's just saving up and making sure his legs are ready so he doesn't embarrass himself lol.

I actually like Russell and think he was the right pick, he already looks pretty good despite Byron messing with his minutes and saying discouraging things about him early on. He's still very green but has made some great passes already and I can tell he'll be a lot of fun to watch, can definitely put up points too. I'm a bit worried about his defense but I'm sure that'll improve. I think he was the right pick over Okafor but I guess we won't know for sure anytime soon. Russell's still far from a sure thing don't get me wrong, but I like the pick. We probably won't get a good glimpse of what he'll be like until next year when he gets a little more freedom and hopefully a better coach, I really don't want Byron Scott to be the long term coach.

Jim Buss has consistently f----- up though since taking charge so it's hard to trust anything he does, Magic's even speaking out against him now too. Someone else has gotta make these decisions next year you'd think.

Nice game between Raptors & Warriors.
Warriors still havent lose a game, that's crazy.
Does any of you think they can keep that streak alive until the end of december?

So Lebron choosing to rest already for a game in early December is questionable enough but to do so in Miami where you'd think a lot of fans were eager to see him is pretty low imo.

Supposedly Blatt made the decision, but I really doubt he could get Bron to sit if he didn't want to.

Solid game from D Rose last night, 19 points on 8-17 shooting, 7 boards, 5 assists and a few 3s as well. Looked real explosive on a couple of plays. For some reason the Hornets always play us tough, can't seem to beat those f---ers.

Lol I'm really not buying that there's any chance that Blatt just went to him and said 'Hey Bron I've decided to sit you out tonight' and Bron was just like 'okay coach.' I'd be surprised if it wasn't Bron's idea, but who knows. Let's not forget Bron basically runs the cavs, he's responsible for about half the players they have now and Cleveland's fired coaches for him before too.

Yeah and he was the one behind banning those hoverboards and not doing proper pre game intros.

Byron Scott continues to be the worst coach possible, his big move to shake things up now is benching Russell and Randle. This is so ridiculous it almost seems like a prank. It's not like Russell and Randle are struggling, Randle has 4 double doubles in his last 5 games and Russell's been improving his shot and said he's starting to figure things out.

Wow, Byrons already messed this year up enough but now he's messing with the future too.

He's a complete idiot, it's really hard to believe. He explained it a little bit and basically just said they're 3-17 and need to try something different, but apparently he doesn't get the idea of developing the young guys for the future. It's not just messing with their playing time, it's messing with them mentally too and giving them more to think about. Russell and Randle both seemed confused by the move. It's hard enough to learn the game when you're 19 or 20 years old and playing against elite competition, they don't need more unnecessary problems.

Hopefully he's gone next season. Like you sId it's not like they were playing bad. You're supposed to let your young guys get out there and struggle, how else are they gonna learn? What did he expect this move to accomplish? Some magical push to the playoffs? Isn't their pick only top 3 protected?

Yeah it's top 3 protected, unfortunately even if they finish 2nd worst which is probably best case scenario being realistic (sixers too good at tanking), they only have a 55% chance of keeping their pick.

Anyways Kobe looked real good tonight, played smart ball and was efficient. He also made some big shots in the 4th to give them a chance to rally and get the win, then the Lakers ended up getting blown out the last few minutes lol. I was watching the raptors broadcast and even they said they have no idea why Randle's not in there cuz he was killing Toronto. Both him and Russell only played 21 minutes.

You see Russell's comments about Kobe?

sportsposters D'Angelo Russell on playing without Kobe: "There's more ball movement. No disrespect to Kobe, but you just know you have more opportunities because he's who he is." : @kjf.artwork

Yeah I saw it, I don't have a problem with what he said actually. It makes sense and I'm actually kinda glad to see that Russell's willing to speak out when things aren't going right, he kinda made it clear he wasn't too thrilled with the moves Byron made either.

Russell and Kobe have actually played pretty well together in recent games though so in that sense it sort of surprises me, but yeah I know Kobe takes a good amount of shots so it's not hard to see Russell's point here.

I didn't even know KG could still get up like that.

I miss the days of him throwing down 4-5 big dunks a game.

Miss the Rondo to KG alley-oop's the most though, they connected on at least one of them a game.
