JR Smith making his Cavs debut tonight, Mozgof might be too, not sure. Cavs/Warriors on ESPN now. I'll be switching between this and the Lakers game. It'd be a nice loss for the Lakers tonight since Orlando has a similar record.

I don't think Kobe's gonna retire after this year either but I'm now starting to think it's possible just based off how this year has gone and some of the stuff he's said. There's rumors Kobe had another MRI today too. Kobe definitely isn't the old Kobe anymore, no doubt about that. Him sitting out the rest of this year within a few weeks is a much stronger possibility though.

Lol ya I know that they're expiring contracts. I suppose you're right so long as he actually intends to trade most of the picks, rather than literally trying to build through the draft.

I could see big name free agents coming though, the NBA has only been in this superteam business since KG/Allen opened the floodgates, we haven't really experienced the Celtics in a buy situation during this era. Would obviously take 2 people agreeing to both sign but it's such a big market...

He already said it himself, he plans on retiring after the 2016-2017 season. He loves the sport too much to give it up already imo, I won't be surprised though.....Lakers need another star desperately or its over for Kobe (winning another championship wise).

Jazz clicking pretty well last 10 games.. Banter's injury might be his exit ticket as the team is playing very well together now and Rudy Gobert has shown he deserves more minutes and to be a starter.

I think Kanter is semi-valuable and can get some real help to Utah with a trade.

Next year make a run at playoffs, this market needs the NBA playoffs.

Lets be honest here, we never thought the Hawks would be this good. They're 28-8......2nd overall if you combine the Western & Eastern conference standings & Cavs are 14th. Something no one saw coming lol.

I feel like the only reason why Williams was that great was cause of Jerry Sloan. He fit in his system perfectly. Williams & Boozer were like a mini Stockton & Malone combination. I remember the games they had against the Lakers in the playoffs a couple seasons ago, they were real tough.

Kobe's out again tonight, he's sat out 3 games this week and played in 1. The 1 game he played, he did awful.

There's gotta be something we don't know about going on here.

*edit* Well I'm not happy to be right, but I told you guys this would be a possibility pretty soon. If Byron Scott's already talking about, I think it will happen.

Byron said it's too early to know if he would shut Kobe down for season. Said after All-Star break, he would revisit that idea
