It's not Kobelike, but it gives other guys time to prove themselves. This could make someone like Jordan Hill a decent trade piece down the line.

I'd be pretty pissed if I bought tickets to one of these games just to see Kobe benched.. They don't announce that he's benched until like an hour before tip off.

@MrBizNiz , hardly anything Kobe's done this year is Kobe like lol. I doubt he plays more than a few games after the all star break, if that. The game I'm going to is the last one before the all star break so I'm hoping I can see him play, although I doubt it.

It wouldn't hurt to shut him down for the year, he's clearly nowhere near 100% still and this season is a lost cause plus it actually benefits them the more they lose since they would keep their draft pick then. Then it's up to the Lakers to have a great offseason, they could have 2 1st rounders (1 being a top 5 pick) and lots of cap room, give Kobe one more good team next year and see what happens with hopefully a more healthy Kobe.

Kobe's had a couple Kobe-like games this season, but I can tell he's not was he was before or he just seems too tired at times. Ed Davis, Nick Young, Jordan Hill, Lin (sometimes), & Tarik Black as of recent are the only players I can see getting better as each game goes by & hopefully will turn into a good trading piece (except for Young, I'd rather keep him on the team).

Idk if ima consider going to one this season if this keeps happening. I gotta see Kobe play before he retires for good. I've only went to the Clippers & Warriors game on Christmas. Shame Warriors didn't get the W.

Yeah I actually agree with that. It hurts to see them keep losing games though. I'm so used to seeing them dominate lol.

    ....
Lol yeah I saw it, not really a surprise at this point, same thing that's happened in almost every Portland game I've seen this year. Plus I think he gets up more than usual for the Lakers games. They pull away in the 4th due to Lillard, they'd have at least 10 less wins if it wasn't for him I bet. He should be the MVP right now probably but won't get it.

Having said all that. I hate what we are doing, I know stacking picks is something we want but.... s---!

What did you want them to do? I thought we had a shot at Kevin Love if we got into the top 3 of the 2014 draft, specifically if we would have landed Wiggins or Parker. But with Love and Rondo being FA's after this year i dont think that would have been worth the risk. Anyways the NBA fixed s--- so that Lebron ended up in Cleveland again so thats out the window. Now its pretty obvious that Green and Rondo were gone after this year, so Danny made the only play that he could and got first rounders for both of them. I dont like being one of the worst teams in the league but for most of the NBA with a few exceptions, you gotta get bad before you get good. Piling up assets while tanking is the right move, even if a lot of the picks turn out in the late teens or early-mid twenties.

Those are mostly 2nd rounders though. Celtics have a s--- load of 1st rounders as well as a bunch of 2nd round picks.

I think I read that Tarik Black signed a 2 year deal. I'll take him for a cheap cost next year. I like him and Ed Davis a lot.

I sat a few rows up when the Lakers came to Atlanta a couple months ago. Definitely worth it to see them. This team is pretty awful, but I actually like every guy on it.. which is rare for me.

Him, Ronnie Price & Ed Davis has impressed me the most so far this season. They're great pieces to the team, but Lakers still lack talent on the roster.

KG is funny but he must be annoying as s--- to play against, especially given that he does barely anything on the court to back it up now

    f--- a Dwight Howard tho
