I haven't been interested in basketball in years, but these playoffs have been hilarious.

@NBAsxn All NBA 1st Team was announced a little bit ago.
    G - Steph Curry
    G - Russell Westbrook
    F - Kawhi Leonard
    F - LeBron James
    C - DeAndre Jordan

KD is a big snub IMO. I know Kawhi was DPOY but KD is much better in everything else, saved for a few points in 3pt%.

I guess if you base it off the regular season which they do, Kawhi over KD is fine with me. Durant's obviously had a better playoffs though which is more important. Oh well, doubt KD cares at this point honestly lol.

DeAndre's name seems weird there, but I guess I don't know who else it could be. Towns will get that spot in the near future imo, maybe even next year. Anthony Davis maybe too but not sure he can stay healthy.

If they win tonight then I think they will too. I just don't really know what to expect tonight though, Warriors really haven't looked like themselves most of this series. But they're back at home and it's obviously a must win, they've stepped up before in these situations but the Thunder are playing great ball. We'll see what happens, should be fun tonight.

I dont know if i can stomach all the Curry defenders(not in here specifically) tonight if Golden State loses. If you're not gonna acknowledge them getting extremely lucky last year in the Finals due to the Kyrie/Love injuries then dont talk to me about Steph being 75%.

DeAndre Jordan getting first team all NBA is a joke and the voters should be embarassed.

Tonight's game will be a blowout. Not sure which team does it, but it'll be a double digit win.

Anthony Davis lost out on 24 million today. His contract dropped from 145 million to 121. The reason?

    The Derrick Rose Rule
When the NBA introduced a new collective bargaining agreement in 2011, it also introduced a little-known rule named after All-Star Derrick Rose. The rule was named after Rose because he earned first-team All-NBA honors in 2010-11 and was also selected by fans to play in the All-Star Game in 2011 and 2012 while still on his rookie contract.
The league’s goal was to reward players operating under rookie-scale contracts who had signed a maximum salary extension but had outperformed the Tier 1 (25 percent) maximum salary slot.

If a player on his rookie contract accomplishes one of the following – (1) earns All-NBA first-, second- or third-team honors twice, (2) is voted an NBA All-Star starter by the fans twice, or (3) named NBA MVP – his salary slot will be eligible for the Tier 2 maximum salary (30 percent) when the extension begins in his fifth season.

Teams do have the right to negotiate the percentage of a max salary slot as long as it falls between 25 percent and 30 percent in the first year of the extension if the player reaches the criteria set forth above.

For example, the Pacers signed Paul George to a designated max salary extension in the 2014 summer. Because he earned third-team All-NBA honors in 2012-13 and 2013-14, George was eligible for an increased salary under the Rose Rule. However, the Pacers and George negotiated a 27 percent max salary slot, but allowed George to opt out of his contract after the 2017-18 season.

For reference, Derrick achieved ALL 3 criteria in his 1st 3 years (2 time all star, 2 time all NBA, NBA MVP) the rule states you only need to accomplish 1 to be eligible.

Lillard meanwhile, is probably celebrating since he was named to the all NBA 2nd team.

D'Antoni is finalizing a four-year deal with the Rockets that will include a team option in final year, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Well it was rumored last week, now it's about to happen. I really feel this is an awful fit if the Rockets want to take the next step, it's a great fit if they want to stay at the same mediocre underachieving level they've been at for years though.

Gotta assume Dwight is leaving, that's good for them imo especially with D'antoni there. They need a run and gun type team to have any chance, but either way there'll be zero defense lol.

Great game so far! For as well as the Warriors are playing, it's nice to see the Thunder are still hanging in there and not letting it get out of hand like so many games this series have.

Curry still not looking great, luckily for them Klay is going pretty good and Mo was big off the bench. Green's not doing much offensively either. Durant and Westbrook both have the right aggression and mindset for this game, they've done well besides their slow starts.

2nd half should be real good.

    Draymond, cmon man!

Great half of basketball. Let's see how bad OKC wants the chip. They've played alright and are only down 8.
