Glad we brought Whiteside back but I'd much rather pay Wade that money. With Luol Deng going to the Lakers, looks like Justise will be starting this year, which is great.

The lowball offer to Wade is embarrassing tho. He made 20mil last year and they offered him 10mil this year?!?! After the year he had?! I don't want him to walk but I fully understand if he signs somewhere else. What a joke.

I like the Deng pickup, probably one of the best they could have realistically got for who's left. Good mentor for Ingram hopefully, solid defender and decent scorer still.

Lakers gotta be getting rid of Nick Young I assume even though they haven't yet, really don't want him around next year.

there are maybe 1 or 2 other teams not named the thunder that would put durant in a equal/better situation than the one he's already in. it doesn't make much sense to go to another team and have to gain chemistry with new teammates.

might as well stay where he's at and give it another go

The best choices, in my opinion, are the Celtics and Golden State.

Durant and Westbrook, although they might be two of the top 5 players in the NBA, clearly want full control of the Thunder. If KD comes back for another year, I think it's going to be tough on Westbrook, and vice versa.

I mean, Golden State should be the obvious choice. Curry, Thompson, KD, Green? That's insane.

The only argument I have against that is that the Warriors are in the West, and the road to the Finals would be much tougher than in the East. Plus, the Warriors bring about the same issue as the Thunder: it wouldn't be Durant's team.

However, Boston offers a TON to KD. First of all, if he comes to Boston, they are automatically contenders in the East to go to the Finals every year, and the Eastern Conference will basically be KD vs LeBron for the next few years, instead of the shitshow that the West is. Also, the Celtics have, probably, the best coach in the East in Brad Stevens. Also, the Celtics are stacked with young talent and pieces for trades. They also might have a top 5 pick in next year's draft. Finally, if KD comes to Boston, it is HIS team for the foreseeable future, which no other team that he's in talks with can offer him.

I think he'll end up back in OKC, but Boston offers a TON to KD. Boston is a super star away from being legit contenders.
