    h---, I'd even bow down in a Kobe/LeBron argument and say Kobe > LeBron in 1 on 1 defense if you wanted me to... but LeBron is the overall better defender. I know a lot of that is due to his physical tools, but it's not like you can use those against him lol.

    That's not to take anything away from Kobe's defense either. Many people don't realize the phenomenal defender he was, especially with the fro. I just think LeBron's ability to guard 1-5 is something that sets him apart... whether that's because of his physical traits or not, it still sets him apart IMO.

    I'm just saying, he's 12 years deep, he's got a few more years to stack points, finals, etc. It's like the ppl anointing Curry the GOAT shooter for 3 lights out years. Eventually he probably will be, but sustained longevity is a big part of it for me, so he's gotta keep this up for awhile to be able to call him a better shooter than Ray or Reggie.

    Also, I'm not even hating that much on Bron! I said he's already top 10 and he obviously has some years to go higher.

    God I hate when people use a 'Horry isn't better than MJ' example when talking about rings lmao. To me rings hold more value than anything else when you're comparing legends to other legends, but obviously we're not saying a role player is better than MJ lol. Still though, rings aren't the end all be all.

    I'm glad some seem to realize Kobe's more skilled than Bron at least, if you want to say Bron's a better player overall cuz his physical abilities then that's fair. Kobe certainly has him beat with intangibles and overall skills imo.

    Remember when Lebron sat on the bench staring into space during the Finals against Dallas while his teammates were begging him to take over in the 4th? Deshawn Stevenson punked him for an entire series lol.

    Lebron could never check a 5 for more than a few possessions lol. The only time I ever remember him guarding a 1 was Rose in 2011 and that was mostly in the 4th quarter.

    Definitely a more versatile defender than Kobe because of his size, but he's not some superhuman who can guard all 5 positions consistently.

    Think I heard in that whole series in all the 4th quarters combined, he only had like a dozen points or something..It's one thing to have an off shooting night or whatever, but to go down so quietly when you're the guy who's supposed to lead the way is ridiculous.

    Jason Terry basically destroyed him in that series when it mattered most, that's not an exaggeration.

    I'll even go further to say the player im talking about 'Gary Ablett Snr' never won a Brownlow Medel (equivalent to the MVP) :')

    It does get really annoying sometimes how rings determine if a player is better than the other. So many great players never won an NBA championship. *I left the room then forgot what I was gonna say to follow up this sentence.. im still waking up* :wow2:
