Sadly he will be the one that will take all the credit in making the Sixers great again by drafting a no brainer in Simmons

He's a top 5 IG follow for me

Bradley and Brown out tonight, Green questionable, Wade out too.

Wonder if this Jimmy trade will go through with you guys.

I think the Celtics at this point are gonna stand pat. With the way the Warriors and Cavs are situated right now its, a win now move just doesn't make sense.

I was already sold on the stand pat movement, but this article kinda sums up the unique spot the Celtics are in.

When the C’s took Brown at No. 3 last spring, they became just the third team in lottery history to win 48 or more games and follow it up with a top-three selection in the draft. The first to do so was the 1986 Celtics, who chose Len Bias with the No. 2 pick — no need to rehash what might’ve been there. The second was the 2003 Pistons, who drafted Darko Milicic second overall. Detroit won a championship and made back-to-back Finals appearances with Milicic as a non-factor. But, imagine how long the Pistons’ run could’ve lasted had they taken Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh or Dywane Wade (picks three, four and five) instead?

It’s only happened twice in the previous 31 seasons (the draft lottery began in 1985), but thanks to former Nets GM Billy King, there’s a good chance Boston will have at least a 48-win team and a top-three pick in the draft three years in a row. And with Brooklyn firmly entrenched at the bottom of the standings, the 2016-17 Celtics could well be the first club ever to win the lottery following a season with 50 victories.

Boston has a quality roster already in place and is establishing itself as an attractive destination for premier free agents. Ainge has a unique opportunity to play the long game and use the Nets’ picks to build from a position of strength unlike any franchise ever has before. Why not continue inching towards the top of the standings while also laying the groundwork to stay there for many years to come?

Going all in for a shot at a title in June might just mean passing up the chance at a dynasty down the road.

Fultz is pretty much a lock. Its a Guard heavy draft, which isn't the best thing for the Celtics. But you still gotta take BPA and that's Fultz, followed by Lonzo Ball. After that its a crap s---t, but there are very good players in the 3-8 range.

Luckily the 18' draft is kinda the opposite of 2017 and the Celtics should be able to scoop up a legit big man.

I'm not familiar with how that 80s Celtic team was put together, but the Pistons were championship ready without Darko or Melo, don't think the Celtics are there.

Jimmy is still only 27, I love watching Isiah but I don't think he has the ability to be the best guy on a chamionship team

I'm indifferent on if the Bulls should trade Jimmy, but if I were the Celtics I'd take advantage of the cheap impact contracts on my roster while I could (IT, Crowder, even Bradley) and make a move for Butler or George. The longer you wait, the sooner all these guys are gonna get paid, and you never know how rookies will be. By the time a Lonzo/Fultz/Jackson develops, the rest of the current core might not be as good as they are now.

Markelle Fultz from Washington, Lonzo Ball from UCLA, or Josh Jackson from Kansas.

Wouldn't be the worst thing but he's 32 and looks vulnerable now. Jimmy is still young, same with most of the guys in Boston.

Plus if you got Jimmy with Isiah, you're in a prime position to add a star in free agency this offseason.

The 86' Celtics won the Title and then drafted Len Bias. But you're right this Celtics team can't compare to those teams but again we are looking at 3 straight years of top 3 picks not 1 like those two teams had.

But yea obviously Isaiah can't be your #1 on a championship team. It just doesn't make any sense to me to give up your entire future, when no matter what you do you're not getting by Cleveland or Golden State. I'm more then fine with the Celtics having to take a step back in order to move forward (whether that be trading IT or Bradley). But IT, Butler, Horford and say Hayward won't be enough to get by either of those teams.

They're in prime position as it is. They're on pace to win 55 games and haven't been healthy at all this year. As far as teams who are able to add MAX contracts this year, they have to be near the top of the list.

Really wouldn't blame them for not pulling, if Fultz or Ball hit then you're talking 5-7 with a franchise cornerstone. But there's still risk which is why I wouldn't move Jimmy if I'm the Bulls unless it's a huge offer. Regardless, this is the kind of deal that would get done in the summer, not mid season.

Problem here is our front office thought it would be a good idea to surround Jimmy with 2 ball dominant, non shooting, past their prime guards in Rondo and Wade. Look how he's playing tonight, basically all of his great games have been when those 2 aren't on the floor. Rondo has been solid off the bench lately but I hope they decline the option because he's not worth 14 million, let alone 14 million coming off the bench. I love love love D Wade, but I pray a contender reaches out so he can decline that mammoth 23 million player option in the offseason.

Jermaine O'Neal was just at my work, unfortunately I didn't get to deal with him but my co-worker did and said he was very cool, they talked for a few mins. He's in town for some basketball clinic i guess.
