7 seconds left, tie game, and the Celtics are about to have the last possession against Toronto. Huge game for C's.

Edit: IT just threw up a brick 3 pointer... Wasn't a terrible look. Overtime.

Miami made me sick... Detroit ended the game on a 25-5 run and just beat us out of nowhere. Crushing. Reggie Jackson had a fast break layup to win it.

    Nah def not.

I remember the Cardinals made the playoffs at 8-8 and the Pats were left out at 11-5. Just something you gotta deal with.

Is it fine if the Pacers make it or Brooklyn? is there a reason you are singling out the C's?

They've beaten/played close against some of the best teams in the league this year.

Even though I'm a Heat fan, (wouldn't make the playoffs in the best records system) it's obvious that the system needs to change. Adam Silver will more than likely do it too. He's talked about it a few times. The only argument I can make is that the teams in the East play each other more than they do the west teams and vice versa. The NBA would have to revamp scheduling and stuff.

Word I get the divison playing same team 4 times or w/e due to locations but yeah I agree they'd have to change alot but it'd be something that can be done.

I'm throwing shots specifically at them cause I'm a Laker fan but more towards the bottom half of the East teams making it with bad records when you have teams like the thunder fighting to keep a good record to make it

Usually if you have a player who is top 2 in the league and he is out for nearly the whole year, ya you're probably gonna struggle to make the playoffs. They still shouldnt be struggling just to get by New Orleans. The Pelicans arent very good, Celtics worked them both times they played this year.

Westbrook w/ his 11th triple double in their loss to Houston.... Harden couldn't miss from deep late in the game. Harden - 41 points and Westbrook - 40 points. The scoring title will probably come down to the last game. I think Westbrook deserves the MVP over Harden tho. And Curry.

Westbrook bricked on 2 late free throws that could have cost them. Cant give Westbrook the MVP if OKC gets beat out by the friggen Pelicans though.

I think you can. As much as team achievement means to the voters these days, it's surprising to see he's in the conversation. He's doing something incredible. I wouldn't have a problem seeing Harden get it though. Nothing can be as bad as when Derrick Rose won it in 2011. I thought that was ridiculous. Part of me is biased with that tho. I hate the Bulls and Rose.

Sure you could, most ppl wouldnt though. How valuable are you really when you cant bring your team to the playoffs when they let more then half the teams in the league in.

A lot of what he's been doing has been without key guys like KD, Durant, Collison, etc. and in the west he's doing it against top point guards every night. What he's doing reminds me of what LeBron did with the Cavs his first time around in Cleveland. The wins aren't there, but the competition is also a lot tougher in the west now than the East was back then. I think the only argument people can make against Westbrook getting it would be the fact that his team is fighting for a playoff spot and that he missed quite a few games. Which is also a reason their record is the way it is. There was that stretch of games where neither KD or Westbrook played.

It doesnt really matter the circumstances. If OKC doesnt make the playoffs, he wont be MVP.

To me the MVP is Curry, regardless of what happens.

Westbrook has no chance to win MVP regardless of what people think he deserves. Kobe didn't win it in 2006 when the Lakers were 7th and he was putting up amazing numbers too.

Based off what the word valuable actually means, Harden probably deserves it more. But based off the way the award's given, it's definitely gotta be Curry. They almost always go by 'best player on the best team' and from start to finish this year, that's been Curry. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't win it. His team's way ahead of everyone and they've been consistently great all year. Based off the way they do that award, just wouldn't make sense to not give it to Steph. Harden would have a great case any other year.

Yeah I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that Westbrook deserves it more than anyone, but he won't get it. The league will give it to Curry and I don't have a big issue with that so I won't complain. Similar to how they gave it to Derrick Rose a few years ago. The best player on the best team. Curry is also a league favorite and has become one of the most popular players in the game.
