Even with bostons problems their 3 point game is prolly gonna make up for any mistakes

Yea we have it so bad going forward. A bridge team who still finished with the 1 seed and has the best chance at landing Fultz this year and then one of the elite bigs in the 18' draft.

Hot take though on these guys never winning a title in a 2-3 team league. Celtics have majorly overachieved and nobody is actling like they are gonna make a run.

Raptors fans are such a sensitive group lol

I don't think maxing him was a mistake, but maxing him and not trading for Butler or PG was a missed opportunity imo.

I love Fultz though so if they end up with him it doesn't really matter anyway.

Everybody that signed a deal last summer didn't deserve the money, but that was the market w/ the new cap. Tyler Johnson got 50 mil, Evan Turner got 70, s--- look at Noah in NY.

Cap will prolly go up another 10 mil this year so the Horford deal shouldn't restrict them too much in the future.

And assets to make a blockbuster trade...

All in all I like were the Celtics are right now. Will they win the whole thing probably not, bet they are winning and rebuilding at the same time.

How can anyone hate on at that....

Mike Conley doesn't deserve to make more money than Lebron but that's how it goes in the NBA.

What was the other option? We went from being the 4 seed to the 1 with him. The Celtics have the luxury to compete now while rebuilding at the same time. The Celtics are now a destination for legit Free agents to pick because Horford came here and the cap is going up.

Would I like him to score and rebound more? Sure. But his defense and elite passing ability (for a big) has been huge for this team.

Should probably consider all the guys on rookie deals they have that will fill out the roster.

i mean you've admitted a bunch of times that going far this year isnt really a priority so why does it matter if your a 1 seed instead of a 4 seed, either way yall not doing much this year

Your over the top "Celtics s---" post from the clouds? You are clearly triggered after i told you how delusional you are about the Raps. Speaking of that, wild you are taking this angle since you quoted my post with walls of text rambling on about the Edmonton Oilers when nobody was talking about them.

Celtics have a Center coming over in Zizic next year who a lot of GM's have said would be a top 10 pick in this draft (mostly due to lack of size in 17', but still) and then the 2018 draft is like the opposite of 2017 in that its got a lot of great front court players (2 very attractive centers in Ayton and Bamba NH). Horford is the only big contract the Celtics have, his contract for the duration of the next 3 years isn't gonna hurt them. If he falls off a cliff in a couple years then the Celtics have 3 picks in 2019 and could get rid of him with one of them nbd.

I think them making at least a decent run is actually very important. It could mean the difference from hanging onto a guy like IT and maybe signing Hayward (if they went to the ECF) or if they lose in the 1st round they could decide to trade IT (if they win the lottery and Fultz is on the table). But the 1 seed gives them the easiest road to the ECF and getting there makes Boston a very attractive destination, especially with those Brooklyn picks in hand.
