To the whole Horford thing, I think the biggest thing to the franchise/fans is the fact we actually got a free agent to sign here lol. Plus, I look at these years (IT, Horford, Crowder, Bradley) as bridge years to the real deal.

I think in 3 years, with the decline of LeBron, and the possible separation of the Warriors (through free agency), and the amount of talent the Celtics have that's young, they'll end up contending in the finals for years.

Granted, I think the 76ers will be around too, but I truly believe that Danny has set us up to have a very bright future, plus I think Stevens has already shown he has an amazing ability to maximize everyone's talents and have them gel really well. It's pretty f---ing crazy what he's done the last 3 years.

As far as why the 1 seed matters, I think it's just a matter of progression for Boston fans. As long as we get better each year, even in the bridge years, it shows promise (especially in a market that is spoiled as f---).

    So everything is set...

    Bullies in the first round...

I'm sure everyone is going to count the Celtics out... just like they have been all year!

I could totally see them winning in 5!

Had to be double the posts from last year.

What's Danny boy gonna do with that treasure trove of picks? I have a feeling they end up with Josh Jackson.

If they end up with Josh Jackson it better be by trading down to do it. I'd be against taking him but i still like him, if they take him with the #1 Danny will get killed. If they take Jackson it means they are out on Hayward and will probably re-sign IT, which I don't want them to do.

They should be taking the BPA, not looking for fit because they aren't in win now mode. There are so many different scenarios that could play out for the Celtics but I hope its drafting Fultz and signing Hayward or Blake.

Never know. I love Fultz and think he should be #1 but wouldn't be surprised at all if Jackson ends up becoming the best player from this draft. Not sure if the Lakers would bite but I'm sure Philly would love to be able to grab Fultz.

Yea idk Fultz has shown me a lot more then Jackson and thats without accounting for the fact that Fultz is 15+ months younger and probably should have been in the 2018 draft.

true, could make the argument that jackson and brown's skills would kinda overlap, and like you said take them out of the running for Hayward.
