    Would you rather have a 21 year old point guard with a bright future or a 29 year old brook lopez who made an all-star team 4 years ago? and he's not staying in LA if he doesn't get his money, which he won't if they want any chance of getting LeBron or offering some of their younger guys money in the future.

    They are gonna send him to Indiana... don't see him fitting with their run and gun style...

    they want Randle PG Ingram and Ball as their core... maybe get a vet center and rotate Clarkson in as well...

    Lol Russell isn't amazing but give me him over Brook Lopez's 5 rebounds per game any day of the week.

    Porzingis probably getting traded.
    Heard the Celtics are looking to grab a veteran all-star through a trade. Something tells me it's gonna be Carmelo since Phil Jackson is deadset on destroying the Knicks. If that happens I get the feeling we ain't getting anything worth mentioning for it...

    Knicks still got it next year though.
    Y'all...I'm on suicide watch rn...help me. Someone, anyone, please...take out Phil Jackson. Then after that go after James Dolan cause he's trash too.

    Lakers didn't really do this to have Brook be the long term guy, they did it to free up the Mozgov contract, to free up the Lopez $$ next year to sign George and to get the extra 1st rounder they wanted.

    Not sure how I feel bout it yet, gotta see how things turn out. I like Russell but his attitude and work ethic are both questionable.

    you're overrated dlo lol, guy shot 40% from field both years so far its not like they gave away some future superstar. This shows their obviously going for either ball or fox in the draft, and they already got clarkson backing him up. they needed a proper center and getting rid of mozgov at 15 mill is key.


    lakers dont have a pick next year, their clearly trying to get a decent core together so they can make some runs at free agents. they clearly werent going anywhere with that dlo ingram randle core

    It'd be amazing if the Lakers can somehow move Deng now too, would potentially even throw in one of those late 1st rounders if I had to.

    dude is 21 years old. he's not gonna be a lights out shooter after spending one year in college. not to mention the Lakers were one of the more disfunctional teams in the nba the past couple of years. no chance lopez stays.

    they're probably packaging clarskon in a deal for paul george, but lonzo is clearly their guy after this trade. lopez will be fine, but they have plenty of young bigs (zubac and randle) that could fill his void at a cheaper price after lopez leaves.

    This would only be good for Carmelo realistically. The Knicks gonna give him alot of money, and then he gets picked up by a team that'll actually know what to do with him. Knicks hardly gain anything from this besides cap space. However, with how this Knicks organization has been for the last decade, I highly doubt any player would want to come here. As much as I love them, I think I finally have to come to terms with the Knicks possibly being a deadend team.

    Lakers trading Russel pretty much confirms they are drafting Lonzo. I like Lonzo but the fact that we're going to have to put up with his dad irks me..... I'm glad we got rid of that horrid Mosgov contract though.

    exactly why it'd be a smart move for the knicks. they need the cap space and tanking a few years to build around porzingis. melo is older now and out of their future plans, or at least he should be.

    See I wouldn't have a problem with this...if they weren't trying to trade Porzingis too. Like I said, Phil Jackson is deadset on destroying the Knicks. I can't have the Jets and Knicks tanking man...that's too many L's for me.

    They need to attach assets to Dung to get rid of his contract if they really want to make a splash next year. 27 & 28 are nothing assets and Pacers would also have to pay Randle. I think teams would be willing to give up more for Kevin Love, so still think a 3 team deal with team x would be more beneficial for the Pacers.

    I'm gonna go ahead and put Melo to the Celtics at a cool 0%
