lakers play a terrible brand of basketball that is not conducive to growth, Or at least diminishes the noticeability of it
reminds me of the wizards in the wall, young, megee era
not comparing the talents but its just too early to tell
his skillset is comparable to hardens imo

Gotta assume George gets traded today most likely, very good chance at least..

Otherwise it may be a while, after free agency at least, possibly even not till the trading deadline if the Pacers are stupid.

The more I see of Isaac the more I agree with @redsoxx

I'd go with Isaac > Tatum. Tatum probably settles in as a Rudy Gay/Danny Granger type guy, which isn't bad at all but when you're picking in the top 5 in a deep draft you go for the guy with star potential, in this case either Jackson or Isaac.

@Poohdini I'm bored and it's draft day so I'm having these random thoughts/ideas, but I'm curious...would you as a Bulls fan do a Jimmy B for Ingram deal straight up? Very hypothetical here of course, since I know the salaries obviously wouldn't match up and it's not really a realistic trade, but just curious to hear your thoughts.

As a Lakers fan...I would not tbh..Now this could very well end up being a huge mistake on my part if this were legit, but I have very high hopes/expectations for BI and wanna see what he can do. He's already consistently very good on defense and his length is a major factor, his offense has a ton of potential too. I just can't let this guy go right now, and sounds like the Lakers feel the same way. Lakers also aren't in 'win now' mode so it'd make more sense in that regard to stick with Ingram too.

Really hoping the Lakers keep Randle too by the way, think he's bout to break out next year. He's working out like crazy this offseason.

Not straight up, but for an additional good pick I probably would.

Bulls really don't have much right now outside of Jimmy. Wade is washed. I have no idea what to project out of Valentine, but it says a lot that Zipser got minutes over him basically all season. Not a shot at Zipser but you'd like more out of a lotto pick. Too many times we take the safe route instead of swinging big. Portis shows flashes of being solid, but I think a realistic ceiling for him would be a slightly better Mo Speights. Grant and Payne fringe rotation players IMO.

Probably top 3. Wasn't he ranked higher thank Fox until NC State started falling off and Fox torched Lonzo?

Would love for the Bulls to make a move and grab him even though I know they wont. Maybe I'm just a sucker for high flyers with busted knees
    :drakemj:
    This is very interesting though

    From somebody on Reddit

Only slight difference is Rose is much more fluid and flexible, especially around the rim. Basically the same size except Rose has a 6'8" wingspan vs 6'3" for Smith.

That boy a Rose stan too
The idea of playing for the Knicks intrigued Dennis Smith Jr. But not as much as teaming up with Derrick Rose. That truly appealed to the ACC Rookie of the Year, one of college basketball’s top prospects.

“I’m a Derrick Rose fan, so I’m not going to say they need a point guard,” the gifted 6-foot-2 Smith said Monday after N.C. State practiced at Barclays Center in advance of Tuesday’s ACC Tournament opening round. “I like Derrick Rose a lot.

“That would be exciting,” he said, about potentially playing alongside the Knicks point guard, who will be a free agent this summer. “Derrick Rose is somebody I watched a lot of, and I got a lot of respect for him. I definitely could [see myself playing in New York City]. It would be great.”

Dennis Smith confirmed my new favorite player @Mike Tyson @Nav Bhatia

@Poohdini yep it was pretty much Fultz, Ball and Smith who were the top 3 for most of the year. Then when March Madness came around his stock dropped a lot. He will be a great pick.

Fox was a late rise and I swear it's 80% because of that game against UCLA. Fox in the OP was one of my favourites. (EDIT: Woops wrong thread)

I'd put Jackson to the C's at like 5%. Supposedly he is slipping and his off court stuff might be worse then whats being reported. If im trading back its for Isaac not Dennis Smith. Think the Magic at #6 is the furthest back where i'd be confident that Isaac is still there. Kings are taking a PG and the Suns seem like they trying to trade #4.

It doesn't feel like theres all that much separation between JJ, Tatum, Isaac, Smith and Fox. Comes down to preference. I don't like Fox that much hes fast as f--- but shooting and D leave a lot to be desired.

Ainge has been known to make Belichick like reaches for guys like Rozier (late first projected taken at 16) and Yabusele (same EXACT thing as Rozier) so I wouldn't be shocked if he just took Isaac at 3, but he should probably move down to do it. Still think he could have moved down to 5 last year and got Jaylen still and Minnesota would have gotten Dunn.

Yeah I think he's been in anger management courses leading up to the draft. Good for him but it's definitely a question mark. Read that Ainge almost never takes players who don't interview or workout for them.

Lot of good options, personally I think Smith is the most dynamic but not what the Celtics need at the moment.

50% chance he trades back in my opinion.
