    I'd rathet have dipo who is a solid player and a young rookie than nothing.

    If PG leaves in FA, which I think he will, the Thunder would have lost those 2 guys and a 1st rounder for nothing.

    imo if i'm boston, i keep my picks and draft for needs.

    east is even weaker, boston will continue to have success, and you can break in younger players in to that success early in their careers, and as they develop, they'll take you over the top while the currently stacked teams are on the down swing

    We didn't trade any draft picks lol, and we freed up cap space too. If PG leaves that gives us room to sign someone close to max money.

    The plan here is to reaffirm to Westbrook that the Thunder will bend to him completely, he wanted more firepower now and they got it now. They want that 5 year max with him. Even if PG does leave next year, they can sign someone of near quality for a longer contract and give Russ a permenant #2 guy.

    This was magic by Presti. Both a positive for the now and the future assuming Russ stays.

    He's not wrong. Steph is absolutely worth twice as much.

    What annoys me are the people who ask if basketball players are even worth that kind of money. But if the players don't get these kinds of deals when the NBA owners make absolute bank, then it creates a very unfair situation for the people who actually entertain us. The ones that play 82 games a year, more if they make the playoffs, should be getting a fair deal in comparison to how much the league makes off them.

    Sam Presti has completely baffled league sources and execs, he's stayed under the radar and come out of nowhere as a dark horse. Thunder is looking like a legitimate scoring threat now. Cot d--- I'm so proud.
