    Missed this earlier but I agree. His shooting is legit and that'll definitely translate to real games too, not just summer league. He's a huge steal getting him late 1st round.

    Chris Mannix says the Celtics could make a strong trade offer for Anthony Davis if the Pelicans season isn't going well around the trade deadline.

    d--- that'd make them real dangerous, wouldn't they have to unload some contracts and also picks though? I know they had trouble even signing Hayward from a cap perspective.

    The Hayward situation was because hes a free agent so they had to have the space. If you trade for Davis you can go over the cap, I believe. I would think that means not giving IT the $25-30 M AAV or trading Horford but even if they didn't do either of those things they still have the salaries in Crowder/Morris/Tatum/Brown to throw in a trade that would put them at about where Portland is cap-wise.

    Trade would probably include Tatum or Brown, maybe both. The Nets pick, the Lakers/Kings pick, Memphis 19' and probably a couple of the Zizic, Yabusele, Nader, Ojeyle and possibly a Smart S & T situation.

    I've always said next summer when Bradley, IT and Smart were up that big decisions need to be made. Its clear now with Hayward signing and Lebron possibly leaving the East, that the rebuild route won't be the way they're going. They have either three 1st round picks in 18' or 4 in 19' (the more likely scenario). Either way 6 total in the next 2 years.

    You can get on Danny for not making the Butler deal, but making that move wouldn't get you past the Warriors (maybe not even the Cavs) and takes you out of the running for that top 5 player which you basically NEED in order to win nowadays.

    Anyways selfishly I kinda wish the C's would have let the main guys play a little more in the Summer League. Probably for the best they didn't, no need to risk injuries. Hard to imagine they wouldn't have won the whole thing if they didn't bench Tatum, Brown, Zizic and Nader.
