    lonzo cant s---t at the nba level or at least he hasnt proven that he can yet. why would i choose a player who can only pass or drive when i could have melo who is gonna get the ball in the hoop no matter what

    because isolation basketball is the least efficient form of basketball and Melo does not make anyone he plays with better.

    melos only a ball stopper because the knciks force him too be. You put him on the rockets he becomes Team Usa melo and h--- breaks loose and he becomes the most efficient stretch 4 in the league

    melo doesnt have to make his teammates better, he has one job and that's to score. since when does a 3/small 4 need to make his teammates better. Only one that undoubtedly makes his teammates better is draymond.

    besides who is melo supposed to make better? Ron Baker? Joakim Noah? Courtney Lee? Only viable options on the team is KP and Hernangomez, both of which find their own ways to score

    Lol at you thinking this is a viable defense for a player. Why give an effort to run a system properly or try on defense when you're a scorer. That's exactly why people aren't high on Melo. He's just a scorer, that's it. In the 00's that may have been enough but not in this era of bball.

    You'll concede that Melo doesn't play hard but at the time you argue he should be viewed in a more favorable light based on what? He'd play better and with more effort if he was in an optimal situation?
