Yeah, that's a great point. Often times, it seems like the small market teams have very little to no chance to actually win the title. Usually, the stars want to go to the big cities. Or, if a small market team gets drafts a really good player, that player will usually leave after being there for a few years because the team isn't able to build around him.

I can stand the constant upset. It makes the regular season meaningless especially when home ice is absolutely worthless.

Occasional upsets are fun - just not all the time. I like seeing the two best teams play in the Finals , Superbowl, World Series. That's why baseball is so d--- hard. You play 162 games and are the best team, but the bats go cold for 3 games and BOOM season over.

I like seeing dynasties only to see them get torn down.

    It's whatever your philosophy is.

Well I wouldn't say there's constant upsets in hockey, it's just the series are more competitive. It's still mostly the better team that advances. But even the Winnipeg/Ducks series for example which just ended in a sweep, it was still a very competitive series. I believe 2 of the games went to OT and 3 of the games had Winnipeg winning at some point in the 3rd period. They got swept but at least the games were exciting and competitive. Even the worse series in the 1st round are pretty exciting. In the NBA's 1st round, I'm really only excited about Spurs/Clippers right now. Pelicans/Warriors had a great game last night but of course no one expects NO to have a chance to move on anyways.

Correct. I haven't. A couple of Vines aren't going to convince me.

Plus, he had Doug Collins (who he wouldn't listen to ) and you mean to tell me that Stevens reached him better than Dougie??! That's a violation.

Hoping Wiggins stays in Minnesota, he seems to like it there so far and brought his family there. He seems like a humble guy so I could see him sticking around if the Wolves improve which they should, they might have the number 1 pick and already have a talented young roster.

Remember when Nellie came back to coach the Warriors and they were the 8th seed like 2 years in a row and upset the 1?

That was exciting. Or how about arguably the best Finals of all time in 2013? Yeah, I know they were two favorites , but still unpredictable. Nobody had the Spurs on their radar till the last few weeks of the regular season (like every Spurs title run)

edit: they lost in 13 but won in 14 - nvm

I remember the Warriors beating the Mavs as an 8 vs. 1, yeah that was a lot of fun. As far as I know that only happened 1 year though, not 2 in a row.

Well i mean the proof is there in the way hes played this season and the fact hes no longer a chucker, but more of a distributor. Your team was asking him to be the main and only scorer after Iggy and Holiday were traded, hes not that. He wasnt even a top 5 scorer on our team this season.

Not the first chucker Stevens has turned into a distributor. He had Jordan Crawford dishing out 6 assists a game last year while Rondo was down and shooting far less. Im not saying Turner is a world beater but hes been a solid contributor this year and Stevens has played a big part in that.

Missed this post. You live in Virginia where there isnt a pro team and college basketball is a lot bigger. Its like down south where college football is far more popular then pro football, whereas college football isnt popular up here. That obviously has to do with not having competitive teams, but even when B.C. was good and Matt Ryan was killing it, it still wasnt really popular around here.

Suprisingly, the Rockets and Spurs have not faced each other in the playoffs since 1995. The Rockets are also the only Western Conference team the Spurs haven't played in the Duncan era. They've eliminated every other team at least once.
