If BG hated Chris Paul he’s gonna hate Reggie Jackson even more. Might murder him on the court

Just a weird move from Detroit. Don't think Blake and Drummond will mesh that well, especially with the lack of shooting from the rest of the roster.

Clips went all out to sign Griffin long term and less than a year later, this happens.

Rachel Nichols was saying every big free agent is gonna demand a no trade clause now cause of this, probably true.

Blake Griffin had the option for no trade if he took one less year, he said no.
I think it’s probably more likely more deals look like Lebron/KD type 1-2 years + player option.

They shouldn't. Even on the off chance this actually happens a team of Lebron Tobias Harris and f---ing Austin Rivers will barely make the playoffs

Lebron, Lou Williams, DeAndre Jordan, and Avery Bradley (who plays well under Doc) are strong playoff contenders

Plus the math works since they have the bird rights on DJ and AB they could potentially sign Paul George too

    Austin Rivers
    Avery Bradley
    Lebron
    PG13
    DeAndre Jordan

W/ Lou Williams as 6 man

plus if they do well in the draft they build a good young bench

They're moving either Deandre, Lou, or both to make a push. Paul George would be dumb to leave the situation he's in at OKC

They are considering it to get better pieces to put around LeBron.
And PGs situation in OKC sucks. Third option ball handler that got him snubbed for All Star originally with an aging Carmelo, and a center who has peaked.
OKC is competing against better teams in the Rockets, Spurs, and Warriors and young rising teams like the Timberwolves and Nuggets.

Unless Lebron or Kawhi comes to OKC, they aren’t getting to the conference Finals much less the Finals or actually winning them

Russell Westbrook in 5 years will be more reliable than Lebron. OKC has cap space and they have alot of youth and ability to build through the draft as opposed to LAC. Staying would be the smartest decision fkr Paul George

How does LAC have a lesser chance than OKC to rebuild through the draft? They are compiling picks specifically for this, unlike the Thunder.
In terms of cap space, the cap situation in LA is better than in OK rn, and while yes in five years Lebron will most likely be worse than westbrook, his impact in the immediate three years and the ability to win PG a ring (something Russ in OKC isn't capable of doing), is much more important to PG's career.

They don't have as many as you think. The one they got from the Rockets for CP3 was traded with Jamal Crawford to ATL so they could have the cap space to sign Danillo. Traded another 1st for Jeff Green and attached 1 to shed Jared Dudley.

Pretty s--- trade, no team has improved. Perhaps this was an attempt by Detroit to sign a big time player that could boost ticket sales.

I honestly think the Clippers pretty easily got the better end of the deal, got rid of Griffin's huge contract to free up $$ to go after a big free agent(apparently Bron) this offseason, if they miss Bron they can try to get someone else. Plus they got good pieces back in return+draft picks.

Wonder if they trade Deandre and Lou Williams still.
