Having a real chance to get to the ECF will do a lot for the confidence of the young Sixers if they manage to do it. Plus, the Sixers future is brighter than the Celtics imo. You might have 10, but half of those are from a Patriots team that’s now trending downward fast. They may have one more run in them with the weak AFC, but that’s it. Meanwhile the Birds look primed to contend for a decade. Personally, I’d take a Villanova championship over the Sixers anyway just because I was raised with them being my main source of ball. Still love the Sixers though. Bruins will probably beat the Flyers just because they always s--- the bed with inconsistent goaltending, but you better hope you don’t get us down 3-0 again

Sure the Celtics did just that getting to the ECF last year. And I dunno if the future is brighter for the Sixers, y’all just got dragged by Ainge in that Tatum deal. Rozier is emerging, C’s have 4 1st rounders in 2019 and that includes the Kings and Grizzlies picks. Assuming Embiid stays healthy, would be like me assuming Kyrie stays healthy and if that’s the case then y’all aren’t close to the C’s without signing a major Free Agent.

I dunno what’s wilder, predicting the Pats have 1 year left of contending or saying your team is “primed to contend for a decade”. Doing that in the salary cap era is a lot easier said then done. Once you start having to pay all your good players s--- usually crumbles quickly. Super bowl was decided by basically one play, if the Pats won nobody would be talking about 1 year left. Brady threw for 500 yards, the Pats secondary was why they lost that game.

The last time the Bruins were up 3-0 on the flyers this happened btw, not sure how you forget getting swept.

I won’t even talk about the Phillies because they’re trash.

Another lash out after you apologized via PM? bipolar much?

I think the Sixers and the C's are ready to be battling for the east for years to come. The Sixers have the cap space to make a run at a top tier free agent, I just hope they dont deal away a core player in making a run for Kwahi. You guys definitely have some assets with all of those picks, but I know first hand as a Sixers fan that those picks don't always turn out. Although, the Celts have a good history as of late. I'm not ready to give up on Fultz yet either. He's been playing well since he came back, and showed some balls by coming back rather than packing it in for next season.

And idk the Pats could fall off any time now. Idk if you guys in Boston believe the rumors about this inside tension, but I don't really have access to local sports talk out there, so I cant really decide if it's true or not. Gotta think something is up, though. Of course, its hard to stay at the top in the NFL and when it comes time to pay Wentz were gonna have to make some tough decisions, but for the current team we have assembled we may be the best in the league again. I just think time is agaist Brady, no pun intended for his TV show, and we all saw how quick Manning fell off. I just dont thinl Brady will have a steady decline, when players get up in age like he is they just seem to fall flat on their face out of nowhere.

I remember that '11 series, but it was pretty inevitable that the Bruins would win after the debacle the season prior lol

Don't even get me started on the Phillies. Kapler is a f---ing joke and needs to get the f--- out of here. Dude manages every game like its game 7 of the WS. Disgrace. I'm headed to the game tomorrow and plan to boo him at the first pitching change.

Brad Stevens deserves coach of the year for sure.

Sheesh, Bridges winning the Dr. J award, Brunson taking home the player of the year award, on top of a national championship, and now the Sixers taking control of the 3 seed and being the hottest team in the nba. What a week for philly hoops

IDK about all of this man. I like Sixers, but Celtics are so f---ing loaded, it's ridiculous. I can't even imagine how good they're gonna be next year with Hayward AND Kyrie coming back. Not that the Sixers aren't loaded either, but the Celtics have insane young talent AND arguably a top 2 coach in the NBA who maximizes his talent to the utmost potential. I did tell @Soldier a couple years ago that the Sixers and Celtics would be the big rivals in the NBA soon, and I think next year, it'll start.

As far as Pats? Yeah, end is coming near, but I don't think Belichick is going anywhere (like most believe he is). Belichick is literally obsessed with football, I don't think he could ever fully give it up. I think Pats will still be around for the next 5 years, but probably not as dominant as they were with Brady. I think we have 2 years for true Super Bowl runs.

I love what Philly is doing, but I wouldn't get too ahead of yourselves either. Much like the Rams with Goff, you guys are going to be dealing with Wentz wanting more money after his rookie contract is up. That is the true test of a franchise, and why a lot of NFL franchises only have a good 3-4 year window to make something happen. It's easy when your starting franchise QB is making 2-4 million a year. However, when they're taking up 15-20 million in cap space, it's a whole different ball game to continue success for a decade. I think the Rams and Eagles will have a good little rivalry, probably contend for a couple titles, but I don't see them lasting a decade or more like the Patriots have.

I said the same thing about Denver, Seattle, 49ers, and other teams who were successful the last few years. I don't want to sound like I'm riding my team, but the Patriots are so unique in the modern NFL, because of how well they draft (in late rounds) and they gameplan for every opponent. It's gonna be hard for ANY franchise to matchup to their success.

IDK much bout hockey, so I'm not gonna argue anything there lol.

I think for sure the Sixers and the Celtics will be an intense rivalry for years to come. Hopefully, it'll bring back the old east coast, physicality type of rivalry instead of this whole buddy-buddy type of thing that's going on in the league right now. If you had to ask me right now who I'd want on my team out of both rosters my answer would be Ben Simmons. Simmons is gonna be unreal for the next decade and will probably be the best bet for being the face of the league. Add that with Embiid who we have signed on a great deal, and the cap room to go after a top tier free agent this summer (Lebron to Philly :nahgirl:), and the Sixers could contend for the top seed in the east next year. Kyrie and Hayward are great, but we haven't seen them play together yet, although, I don't think it'll be an issue, but it is still yet to be seen. Stevens or Brett Brown should win coach of the year this year imo. Sucks your guys great season took two major blows, first with Hayward on opening night, and then when you guys still managed to be great without him, Kyrie packs it in with season ending surgery.

As far as the Patriots go, I think the window on Brady is closing quick. Like I said to redsoxx, when players great players get up in age they tend to just fall flat on their face rather than progressively getting worse. Look at Manning going from like 58 TDs to having the biggest noodle arm in the league a year later. Or Nhamdi's b---- a--- when he came to play in Philly. Or even Roy Halladay in baseball, cy young winner to going out embarrassingly bad. Now, I still think Brady has another solid year in him, but it could happen at anytime. I still have serious thoughts that he'll wear another teams uniform before retiring because he will refuse to admit he's lost it a bit and the Patriots will be forced to move on. I think it'll be fun as a football fan to see what Belicheck can do without Brady for a few years. What are the chances you guys draft a QB with one of your first rounders this year?

As for the Birds, the real test will come for sure when we have to pay Wentz, and it'll probably be the most lucrative deal in NFL history if he stays healthy this year. But Howie Roseman is a cap genius. He's so good at manipulating the cap to make the numbers work that I have faith in him to not make us fall off a la Seattle after paying Wilson. But until that does comes the immediate future looks unreal for us.

I'd argue about a potential Bruins/Flyers series, but we are playing the Penguins and have lost like 12 in a row to them lol, so that's not looking good for us

Gonna be an awesome series @Jakey

I’m scared of Fultz man. I think he’s gonna be a huge problem for us. If he wasn’t playing I’d give us a solid chance. I got you guys winning in like 6 games now. Excited for Embiid v. Whiteside tho

I logged on here and was about to mention you then I got this alert :')

Bring it on, the Embiid and Whiteside battle would have been epic! Shame JoJo will at least miss the first game, then will have to play through a mask. A lot of people are worried about our inexperience, and I am too with Embiid and Simmons but we've also got vets like Redick, Belinelli and Illyasova who have been inform recently and have plenty of experience in the post season.

^after watching this I am pumped..... Colin Coward..... YOU ARE A FOOL

I bet we put Winslow on Simmons most of the series, will be really interesting to see how he plays... considering the playoffs are a whole different animal, esp for guys like him who can’t s---t. He’s either gonna have a horrible series or historic imo
