    Yeah let me guess the nba had the right to cuz Stern was part owner of the team and blah blah blah. Yea I’ve heard it all before.

    Bottom line is they vetoed that deal cuz other owners were afraid the Lakers were gonna be too good and it was unfair.

    Soooo ya, fair comparison here.

    that was a trade involving a team owned by the league - completely different. i thought it was f---ing bs too, but htis move is completely legal. if anyone's to blame it's the players who fought for this cap spike and the other teams that didn't wanna offer boogie more money

    i watch a lot of the 3 iowa teams so as long as one of them is good it's usually a fun year. last year was kinda rough haha.

    The NBA has to do something about this s--- man... I don’t care if this warriors team was mostly built through the draft, you really don’t see this type of hoarding of talent in any other major sports. The NBA is pushing for s--- like this & they need to stop.

    Every offseason, I come back & read this piece by James Surowiecki & how the NBA’s salary cap is totally f----- & favors teams stacked with talent. The piece is more relevant every single off season, I swear.

    Do ppl itt understand how f---in hard it is to comeback from an achilles tear? More than likely, we wont see boogie at even 60% till March

    f--- it man, the Warriors were going to win any ways. It is what it is.

    This is dope for the Lakers now, because there is no way Boston or Philly pays the price on Kawhi, because:
    1. Even Kawhi does not get you over the hump against the Warriors with Cousins, especially if there are significant pieces going back.
    2. It's a year of Kawhi, and then you have to hope he stays. That's a horrible wager to place considering he's said twice now that he'll be headed to LA next summer.

    So now the Spurs are in a position where they have a year of Kawhi left, and no suitors outside of the Lakers to trade to. They either take the Laker's best offer, or Kawhi walks for nothing.

    You're not getting the rumoured ask, which is 2 roster players, and 3 first round picks.

    Honestly it's not like he needs to be the top guy on the Warriors so they shouldn't be too worried bout the injury cuz they don't need him till the playoffs really..I mean does it matter whether the warriors win 60, 65 or 70+ games next year? Not really, only matters for them once the postseason starts.

    Sure there's the chance he's never the same again after the injury, and quite frankly his stats will obviously take a huge dip, but either way they got Cousins for f---in 5 mill and they were already a dynasty..Cousins will be able to do his part and at times have big scoring games if 1 or 2 of the others struggle..That's the thing, they got so much elite scoring now that as a team, how can they EVER have an off night if they're all healthy? I mean say Curry and Klay both have off shooting nights which certainly happens at times, you still got KD who can score a ton basically every night, and then Cousins who can get you 30+ pretty often too..

    I mean d---, it's insane..They're just unstoppable tbh. Anyways sorry I got kinda off track but my overall point was I don't think they're too worried bout Cousins injury cuz they can afford to have him take his time, be ready for the playoffs etc...He'll be able to do his part by then, my guess is he returns in late February/early March.
