so many ignorant and just plain dumb MFers here acting like they mr know it all. Sales and review scores are a bit lower then normal, nothing to crazy. Its expexted for a guy that dropped part of his fanbase and has seen sales decline every album now.

The general concensus on this album was already bad before anybody heard it. That affects how high critics want to score it, they dont want to rate way higher than anyone else to avoid being called bad reviewers. Eminem also gets way more criticism for his woman unfriendly lyrics nowadays with the whole #metoo movement.

Its natural thing, the album itseld is fine ans of higher quality than Recovery/MMLP2 combined. Recovery is total s---, MMLP2 only has a couple of good songs. Revival has many.

And I think there's things to be taken away from this album and the reaction to it. Were there too many songs? Were there too many features? There were certain songs like "Tragic Endings" and "Need Me" where I felt like lyrically they would give the listener a second to breathe. I spend a lot of time writing s--- that I think nobody ever gets.

Well, I don't think we can simply call people complaining about every Eminem move for years and yet still keep following his music and stuff. This is just hating and obsession.
