Was still with the same label? Was he everywhere on the media? I would say he would just be as big.

    Want evidence to support this?

People in 2015 still care about Eminem's "shock" lines

If his label are still as behind him as they were in 99 id say his career is not much different. Hed just get more flack and probably attack even more people and be even angrier by the time MMLP is made. Especially if we're talking about 25 year old Eminem in 2015.

There's so many variables that fall into play here, it's almost impossible to figure it out.

Eminem influenced many of the artists we have today (white rappers, shock rappers) so in this alternative reality, does that mean all those artists disappeared? Or did they still come up?

Because I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that Eminem opened the door for these artists and changed the entire landscape of hip hop, which is why he's as big as he is now. Because he was the first white rapper to be that good and say that kind of stuff, and be presented to the mainstream audience.
So, if for some reason between 1999-2015, a different rapper didn't capitalize on that style, then yeah, Em would blow up.
But if he came up in the days of the Mac Millers, Macklemores, Tyler the Creator etc. Then no. He'd be an a struggling white internet hip hop artist, and all the other rappers would a lot, lot bigger than they are now.

    Absolutely not

people get offended about everything these days. people cried when he mentioned r--- in medicine man.. And the line was f---ing censored already

plus there's no love song, auto tune, or major club bangers. not to mention the lack of pitbull

    This tbh.

I'm not really even sure why people ITT are arguing that his subject matter is what would hinder him, that's ridiculous. If anything, the stronger reproach from the media nowadays would make him an even hotter subject than back in 1999.
I still don't think he would blow up, but it's definetly not for this reason.

Tyler the creator is black. Not as controversial as a white rapper saying that kind of stuff.
