Nah it’s cool. I thought when I click on the recent banner last night it went to the trump politics thread. I’m almost sure of it. Then later I saw it led to the covid 19 thread that does have more awareness overall.

I don’t understand why Eagles fans are so mad, do you rly think Wentz can stay healthy? Should have just traded to get Foles back

Not mad at the pick, mad at it in the second round. I love Jalen as a kid and a player. Also, the front office has fed us bs that the idea of Foles as a backup behind Wentz is a bad idea for his mental game, but then turn around and draft a well known kid like Wentz in the second? Just kind of contradicting. Also, we had the chance to move up and draft Lamb in the first, but we didn’t want to give up the second to do it that ended up being for Hurts. Lamb going to Dallas is just salt in the wound. Though, if you take away the draft capital it took to get the players in the first two rounds and we just look at the guys we picked up independent of that, I love what we did this weekend.

edit: also as far as Wentz staying healthy, I think he can. This year he was just cheap shotted by a scumbag that only had the intention of taking out our QB. So I’m ecstatic Clowney didn’t get his deal on the market that he was looking for. Hope he takes a one year prove it deal, and gets Theisman’d. On another note, we win that game with Hurts as the back up.

From balling out in high school to community college to D1 football all the way to the NFL being signed as a UDFA. Teams slept on him. Can’t believe some of the QBs who got drafted & he didn’t. Nonetheless, he’s always had to prove doubters wrong. Can’t wait to see him out there in preseason.

What boos pretty much said about their 2nd pick. There was way more talent they could have drafted that would have been used starting week one. Is this going to mentally hurt Wentz? Probably. If they wanted Hurts bad enough, they could have maybe even gotten him with their third pick, or traded up in the 3rd for him. I’m thinking maybe if Hurts looks like a NFL caliber QB in preseason, they could use Wentz as trade bait and make out huge and start fresh. Plus there were arguably more nfl type qb’s left, rather than Jalen.

I won’t lie though, Jalen was my favorite qb to watch last year in college. I hope he succeeds in the nfl. Also still sort of pissed off the Steelers didn’t draft Dobbins.

I like the Hurts pick for the Eagles. Wentz has a significant injury history + there’s trade value associated with Hurts. If he balls out in preseason or for whatever reason has to fill in for Wentz & plays well, Eagles can flip him for a 2nd rounder if not more. Or could be a potential starter for the future (never know if a QB may decide to hang it up due to injuries).

Just saw the photo of Alex Smith’s leg after it got infected post first surgery from the gruesome injury. Nastiest thing I’ve ever seen still remaining on a human body

It can’t be stated enough how horrid of a draft the Packers had. If I was Aaron Rodgers, id demand a trade immediately.

Adams is a top 5 WR. Yeah, the packers should have at least drafted a WR. But they have multiple other receivers. Scantling, Allison on top of Adams’s should be a good enough WR core for someone like Rodgers. I had Adams in fantasy football last year, so I tried watching all their games that I could. And honestly, Rodgers looked completely rusty and hit and miss every game. He needs to improve himself, instead of blaming everyone else. I just think he’s getting worse and he’s not going to be the type of qb to start until he’s 41. I’m telling you guys, he looked only half of what he used to be 2-3 years ago. Adams had guys burnt and Rodgers completely under threw the ball twice, which he never use to do. But Adams was hurt a lot of the season last year too. In the first quarter of a game, Rodgers and Adams connected for like 130-150 yards and a td or 2, then Adams rolled his ankle from what I remember. Scantling is underrated too.

In summary, I know Rodgers best years are behind him, and he’s going to drastically get worse. There’s a reason they drafted a qb to replace him. Rodgers isn’t aging good.

Adams is the only big time offensive weapon the Packers have drafted since Rodgers became their starter, honestly. Cobb was solid but always has been more a WR#2 & he fell off.

What exactly is the NFL going to do if certain states ban sporting events for the remainder of the year? Where are teams in those states going to play home games?

Really like some of the Colin Cowherd show today. He has the exact same opinion as me. This is Baker’s last year to prove himself as a starter. You have an elite running game. You have great weapons. He’s definitely under the most pressure this year. If he s----d with having a top 10 target Odell last year, I don’t see how he’s going to be any better this year. If I were the browns (and a few sport analysts had the same opinion) see what you can get Baker for on the market. And grab Cam Newton. I’m not a Cam fan, but I would feel 100 times better him starting over Baker. He could also actually hit Odell consistently, imo.

And I think the Browns should take Cam regardless. Why? Because they can’t ever draft a good qb with a top pick. You mise well go with a already established QB while he’s healthy and hope he stays healthy. I don’t think anyone would really give up anything decent for Baker, after he got exposed last year. The best situation would probably be go for a team that’s offering the highest draft pick for him. I think a team would take Baker as a backup qb who has a shady starter, like Carr or TimmyT’s hero, Teddy.

I could see Rodgers getting traded there. I can’t see Dez. Too much of a head case and not good enough anymore

Dez really wasn’t ever that problematic lol. That was so blown out of proportion. He had legal troubles as a young player but otherwise, that’s it. It’s also not like NE has much else to offer on offense lol. Dez at 50% would be a significant boost for that offense.

hate to be all negative but honestly I think since states are opening up too quickly and everyone's relaxing on the social distancing plus obviously the horrible leadership this country has, I think the next wave of this virus will be far worse. So tbh I kinda doubt these games happen as listed at least, definitely won't be stadiums full of people.

I don't wanna give myself hope just to be let down again, so i'm trying to be realistic here. I glanced at the Vikings schedule but that's about it, not really expecting it to be the actual schedule so didn't put much thought into it.

Oh well, at least football fans are getting something to talk about again, and hopefully I'm wrong. We desperately need a lot more testing to be done nationwide, then i'll have a lot more confidence this can happen. Till then it just doesn't seem realistic imo.

Yeah I’m not sure if there’s going to be a 2020 season either. I can see a scenario where the NFL just bans fan attendance. I just don’t know what they’re going to do if certain states ban sporting events in general for the year. Like are those teams going to have to play home games elsewhere?
