If it wasn't part of his contract it wouldn't be a big deal but it is. I personally don't care what any athletes have to say but he is making it all about himself by doing this.

So to sum up the 49ers off season, they promoted their D Line coach to head coach, Tight End coach to defensive coordinator and QB coach to offensive coordinator. Niner fans bout to miss Harbaugh a lot next season.... Lol

    Those are all questionable calls.

How do you think they would have done next year if they had had Rex Ryan?

They needed an offensive minded coach tbh lol but they'd be better off with Rex Ryan at this point lol

I feel bad for Rex Ryan because he never really had much to work with in NY but they had a couple of good years.

I'm really back and forth about this..

I think Seattle's defense will keep Brady in check, for the most part. Do I think they ruin him? No. Do I think Brady goes off? No... I just think Brady/Pats O will have a very average game. Maybe 17-20 points, a turnover, etc.

Seattle's offense, or the Patriots' defense is the key. I have NO idea what to expect from either side. It's such a fascinating matchup...

    1. Pats struggle against scrambling/read option QB's, and versatile running backs. This is a matchup nightmare for the Patriots front 7...

HOWEVER (this is why this Super Bowl is so intriguing to me)

    2. Seahawks don't have the explosive receivers to keep the Pats defense off of the line of scrimmage... This is where my first point is in question.. Seattle might be the only team that doesn't have that TRUE deep threat to scare the Patriots from overloading the box against the run, or a TRUE tight end to scare them (I know Wilson is good, but I think Collins should be able to cover him). I think this is an EXCELLENT matchup for the Patriots secondary, actually more-so than the Seattle secondary vs the Patriots receivers.

What do I think it will really come down to? Special teams and field position. This is an area that I think the Pats have an advantage over the Seahawks. Does it mean they win? No. However, I think the team who forces the opposite offense to move the ball from longer distances will end up with a better chance of winning the game. I think both offenses are going to have a really tough game.

Because the media doesn't give credit where its due. They make it all about the big names, and Lynch has said before that his success requires his teammates to be successful, too. Put ANY RB on a team with a s--- OL, and you'll have a s--- RB. Give an average RB a great OL, and you'll have a top tier RB. Lynch doesn't like how the media picks and chooses who gets credit for a teams success. When's the last time you saw the media hit up a Left Tackle for a post game interview? By now it's pretty much becoming his way of saying "f--- you" to the NFL, but it originally started because he didn't want all the attention from the success of a 53 man roster focusing on him.

Yeah this off season has been tough to watch. The Geep promotion is just them promoting the only guy that would take the job. They really f----- up hiring Tomsula. Fangio I guess had Kyle Shanahan ready to join him as his OC if Fangio got the job if rumors are true. Fangio as HC, Shannahn as OC, and Donatell, as DC, and the team would of been fine. But instead Jed takes the cheaper puppet so now we have Tomsula, Mangini, and Chryst. But hey, we still have Joan in Payroll.

The SB is near. For those who watch ESPN First Take if you missed it today Stephen A. picked Seattle to win and Skip picked New England. Both admitted to being torn on it though. :comeon: :skip:

Also, does anyone really believe Richard Sherman would really miss the Super Bowl for his child's birth? I seriously doubt he would. Brett Favre missed his father's funeral for a playoff game and then went out there and won. Favre said "I know my father would have wanted me to play." and if I was the child of a NFL player as good as Sherman i would 100% understand if my father missed my birth for a game that big.

So i do not believe Sherman will be missing Sunday night.

Been listening to a lot of Sports radio this week and theres been a lot of talk about Brady vs Montana. Ppl saying even if Brady wins, Montana will still be 4-0 and ahead of him. Obviously wins will always be >>> appearances, but if you have the same amount of wins i dont see how the losses hurt you. SB losses shouldnt be weighted more then losing in Conference title games or divisional rounds.

Favre didn't come back for a playoff game, they played the Raiders, and he didn't miss his dad's funeral. And yes the birth of your child is more important than a football game there's no reason to believe he wouldn't miss the game if it came to that

To walk out on your team like that on the biggest stage is shady af though. I almost gaurentee his kid would grow up and not care that his dad missed his birth to play in the Super Bowl, especially if they win.

I guess but he already has a Super Bowl under his belt. Most people I know who have kids say that the birth of their first child is the best feeling/day of their life. You only have your first kid once. There's no re-doing that, but you can always get back to the super bowl. It's only a game
