Now you're being stupid....it was a terrible call he saw the quick slant and he underestimated it ....all the blame is on the OC and head coach. How you don't hand the ball to that r----- is insane

I thought this myself. They thought they had the game won, but they wanted to do it with Russell Wilson, make him the MVP, and justify that big contract headed his way.

I'm not the only person that said this. Deion and Michael Irvin were going off about it on NFL Network.

I just can't believe it though. One yard away from a championship, with the best running back in the league, the toughest player to tackle in the league. And you throw it all away...

Dude, you take a quarterback who wins back to back rings and beats Manning, Rodgers and Brady while doing that, you don't need an MVP award to justify a big contract.

Fam, that was a terrible call, especially with 2 downs left, but they called that play to try and win the game, not to make Russell Wilson look good.

Idk doubt it. Makes absolutely 0 sense in that situation... Pete Carrol was definitely like "Lemme let Russell take a shot at it" and just went for it. There's speculation going around that Wilson might have even audibled out of a run into that pass, we'll probably know more soon.

No matter how you look at it, you're not throwing away a ring to shift the MVP conversation b.

"It's only the first down, let me give Wilson a chance to make the play - if not we'll run it. It's not like they're gonna make an interception or anything"

Seattle really f----- this up. I dont care for Chris Collinsworth but he nailed it. You line up and give Lynch the ball on every down on the 1 and if they stop you then so be it.

Forget Super Bowls, forget the NFL, that literally might've been the worst call in the history of SPORTS.

That was the first interception of the entire season from the 1 yard line, and that was one of the most impressive defensive plays I've seen in a while. The chances of that ball being intercepted was about .001%. I totally understand the thought process, pete wanted to give them 3 plays to score instead of 2. The worst case scenario happened, and now we have a bunch of people on the internet acting like they can coach a professional football game lol smh
