If Murray walks for more money and AP wants to come for cheap, I'm all for it and I'm sure Jerry Jones would be thrilled to sign him just due to the name.

I realize that the Cowboys might not be able to afford to bring back both Dez and Murray. Dez is obviously the priority, so if somebody has to leave it'll be Murray and that could open up a door for Peterson coming to Dallas. I get that.

But Peterson indicated not too long ago that he doesn't feel like he should have to take a pay-cut. I'm not exactly sure what he's set to make under his current contract in 2015, but I know it's more than 10 million, so getting him for cheap is highly unlikely.

Not that we can't afford it. Cowboys can make both Dez and Murray the highest payed players at their respective positions. Thing is the Cowboys organization has learned the hard way of why you don't over pay particular players. Murray is 27 years old with a injury prone history and has a lot of reps under his belt + he's a physical runner. Just isn't a safe investment to give Murray a huge contract at this point, we already made that mistake once with Marion Barber in 2007.

Yeah if AP is demanding crazy money Cowboys won't be interested either. A lot of solid RB's on the market this year though.

Glad Peterson's leaving the Vikings it sounds like, they need to use that money on the o line or a WR or 2. Or f--- it, lock up Teddy long term before he gets even better and more expensive. But they won't do that.

Anyways, highly doubt this Dez report is true but it'd obviously be a huge deal if it is. It basically says there's a 'video 5x worse than the Rice one' coming out today or tomorrow about Dez. Less than a 5% chance it's actually true though imo.

The Vikings should absolutely 100% do what it takes to keep Peterson. f--- it, pay him his full salary for this season because he's not taking a pay cut.

The ONLY way I would be ok with losing Peterson is if somehow a trade for Dez Bryant could be worked out...very unlikely obviously.

As far as giving Teddy a new deal, the Vikes couldn't even do that if they wanted to for another 2 years, if I remember the rules correctly. AP is affordable as long as they're not paying a good QB good QB money.

I know the Vikings need WR, LB, and OL help but keeping Peterson is the #1 thing they could (realistically) do this offseason imo.

Over priced, under achieved, and easily replaceable by Bell and Riddick (I think they'll actually improve the backfield). I didn't want him from the get go. Last year I wanted them to try to package him up with some later picks and maybe another player, whatever they'd have to do, to try to move up with their 2nd pick to get Kelvin Benjamin (Wanted Darqueze Dennard in the 1st).
