    Skins signed DE Jean Francois

He use to play for the Colts and they need all the help they can get on defense....so I'm guessing this guy isn't that good

Doubt the Eagles even consider getting Mariota unless he's still there at number 6 or later. If he's still there then they'll try to make a move.

naw he's a fairly good player, Colts just released him cuz they over paid him and his cap hit was way to high.

Cowboys reportedly letting Murray test the market, I'm actually really happy about this. Cowboys are finally realizing when to give a player a big contract and when not too. Murray stated that he wants to be on the team that gives him the best shot to win a Super Bowl, let's see if there's any truth to that.

Cowboys also told Bryant's agent that they will franchise tag him.

Also, I realize Peterson expressed interest in playing for Dallas, but to me him going there makes no sense for the Cowboys. Think about it. The Cowboys are LOADED on offense. They easily have one of the best offensive lines in the league--maybe even THE best.. They have a very good QB in Romo. They easily have one of the best WR's in the league in Dez--maybe even THE best. Witten is getting up there in age, but he's still productive.

So with that in mind, if you're the Cowboys, why grab Peterson who will probably cost you a lot, when all your needs are clearly on defense? To me, if Peterson ends up on another team, the Colts makes a lot more sense because their running game sucks and Luck needs more balance in the offense

Think you just answered your own question man, especially with the part about the o line. Peterson would be even more of a beast behind that line. I'm sure the Cowboys would love to have him but can't see them paying his current contract. They'll have to hope the Vikings cut him and can't get anything for a trade which is very possible since teams will be hesitant to take on his huge contract.

Yeah Cowboys likely won't grab Peterson unless he's willing to take a pay cut which he's already stated he doesn't want too. If the Cowboys didn't want to pay a 27 year old Murray 8-10 million a year, no way they pay that type of money to a 30+ year old Peterson. There are a lot of options in free agency this year at RB and if worse comes to worst we can draft one in the later rounds of the draft. I'm really not stressing over the RB position. I just really wished we could of locked Bryant up this off season.

Yeah, obviously Peterson could be even more dangerous behind that kind of offensive line, but there are 2 main things you need to win in the NFL and neither of them has anything to do with how good your RB is.

You need 1) good QB play and 2) good defense. That's why Seattle made it to the Superbowl BACK TO BACK, which is very unusual.

The Cowboys only have one of the two. Grabbing Peterson is not going to put their team over the top, especially in today's NFL where the RB position has been largely devalued.

@TimmyT , do you think the Vikings should cut Peterson? I agree the RB position isn't valued the way it used to be, plus Peterson will bring a lot of negative attention and will likely be heading downhill soon if not already, he also hasn't played in a year. I just think it's very likely that it comes down to 2 options for the Vikings and those are either keep him and pay his full salary or cut him and get rid of that salary.

Best case scenario imo is to trade him for a pick or 2, but that might be hard to do.

Here's the thing...if you cut Peterson because you want to free up money/cap space and you believe that he's headed downhill....then Bridgewater has absolutely no play-makers around him. Our WR's are not that good. Rudolph stays hurt, can't be depended on. When you have a young QB like Bridgewater, who appears to be on the rise, you want to surround him with weapons to make his job easier. Getting rid of Peterson makes an already weak offense, weaker.

On the flip-side...I understand that most RB's are not too productive in their 30's. This is when they usually go downhill. I get that.

Personally, I don't think they should cut or trade him. I think they should keep him. And I think they will keep him unless he just doesn't want to play in Minneosta anymore....everyone in the organization has already said they want him back, Zimmer, Spielman, etc

Yeah but I'm almost positive the Vikings will get at least 2 WRs in the offseason, probably 1 or 2 in the draft and maybe another 1 in free agency.

Lions opt not to use Franchise Tag on Suh. Doesn't mean they're not trying to figure out a way to sign him, but in all reality, there are too many teams with too much money for him not to go somewhere else.

Dolphins are rumored to be shopping Wallace. Would be a nice pick up if they can get his contract more suitable.

I'd love to get Mike Wallace, but I just looked it up and he said he's apparently not willing to restructure his deal and he's still due over 32 million for 3 years. I don't mind the Vikings paying a high price for a good WR since they need one, but not sure if 10+ mill a year would be a good idea for him.

I'd have to take a look at the free agency list for WRs but there's probably a better and cheaper option out there. I also think it's very likely they use their 1st round pick on a WR, then if they do that they can probably just get a mid-tier WR in free agency.

This is a great draft for teams in need of a WR. I don't see the overall peak talent that last years had, but the number of 1st and 2nd round value WRs is pretty good.

    Interesting.

Suh is a cornerstone player for the Lions. Guys like that usually don't change teams until 1) they get old...OR... 2) if they have off the field issues. Neither of those 2 things apply to Suh.

Now am I saying that it's impossible that some other team will sign him and he'll move on from Detroit? No. But if I had to guess, I personally believe he'll remain with the Lions despite the fact the Lions didn't use their franchise tag on him.
