I think we sign a free agent RB, hopefully Spiller, and draft one around 3-5th round. I like Polk but I don't think he's an every down back and obviously Sproles cannot take the workload at this point in his career.

I thought the same exact thing. Very wierd choice. The Dolphins aren't losers but they sure as h--- aren't winners either. They win between 6-9 games every year. Probably the most average team in the NFL. Like you said he probably figured hey, $114 million to live in the most beautiful location in America. Why not?

It's different because the NFL has a cap where they're only allowed to spend a specific amount of money on player salaries every year, where as in European football, teams can just spend at will.

Due to the cap in the NFL, football teams have to prioritize. Do we really need a certain player? How important is he to the team? How valuable is he etc. also teams also look at age, injuries and things like that. With Murray, Cowboys recognized they have one of if not the best O Line in football so they felt like there was no point in paying Murray all this money that he was demanding when they could still be a ground threat without him and use that money else where to better the team. With Seattle and Maxwell, I'm not completely sure what the issue is but Seahawks have A LOT of players they need to resign and Maxwell just may be the odd one out.

Not really sure why Philly fans are getting their hopes up about McCourty, guy loves it in New England.

I'd rather have Spiller than Gore. He's a 1st round pick from a few years ago and, unlike Gore, still has the potential to get better. Spiller's talent would be maximized in Kelly's system. Just has to stay healthy.

Me too. I couldn't agree more.

I don't want to be too aggressive in free agency though. More often than not, free agents don't end up performing as well as expected on their new team.

If we get Moore, were set on defense besides our linebacking corps. That's easily our weakest level of defense. But I'm confident we'll address it in the draft.

Agree, but I also think most of their moves need to be on offense. Every position besides QB is pretty weak assuming they trade AP.

Hopefully McCourty. I think Maclin should be priority #1 though.

Check, check annnnd check all those things in the Pats favor as well. Only way he leaves New England is if Philly offers significantly more then the Pats do.

The fact that the Pats franchised Gostkowski and not him probably means they will end up working out a long term deal with him.
